A rule we have while out of town is that we eat at non-chain restaurants and support local businesses. We came across this place while searching for a place to have breakfast and this restaurant was great! The staff was friendly, the food was delicious...More

Went for a family dinner and it was amazing! We started with the brussel sprouts, and between us we all had the catfish, buttermilk chicken and shrimp and grits. Everything was top notch and service was very good. The best though, were the drinks! Old...More

The Dining Divas went to Tupelo Honey for lunch today. This is a very hard review to write as Tupelo Honey has always been one of our favorite places to eat. There were 10 of us and we had made a reservation, but when we...More

A must stop and eat!! We came here based on reviews, and Tupelo did not dissappoint! Place: cute, rustic farmhouse... clean. Service: spot on! Friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, our server made our visit just perfect! Food: LOVE!! Tasty, fresh-made to order! And, I'm GF, and they...More

Was excited to eat here. Cracker Barrel puts this place to shame. Honestly KFC is better. Chicken was tough and tasteless. Ranch dressing was watery with no flavor. Cost almost 70.00 for 3 adults and a child. No alcohol, at lunch!More

Where the mediocrity of food and service collide. The atmosphere at first glance seems enticing. But soon you realize that they're trying too hard and don't really know what they're doing. If your food and your service aren't very good you shouldn't be in business....More

We do enjoy southern food and come for their shrimp and grits. Best if you can go on Wednesday when it is half price. Breakfast bowl choices give you some healthy choices. Honey on their biscuits is like eating dessert first. However, do not miss...More

Our party of 4 had lunch here recently and loved it. Got right in...almost no waiting. The menu had something for everyone and the prices were very reasonable (at least we thought so). Service was spot on it. I don't think you can go wrong...More

It was amazing! The manager and waiter helped us make up our mind after watching several dishes pass by and each was more appetizing than the next. We ordered the shrimp and grits (get it with avocado, you won’t regret it!) and the short ribs....More

Very cool little spot for lunch. We got the lunch Combo which was a 1/2 sandwich, 1/2 salad and 1 side. We also got the fried okra and pimento cheese nachos- see photos. Great hearty food and didn’t cost too much!

Description
What constitutes "New South Flavors?" For us, it is begins with reverence for those time-honored Southern dishes. Served up by wonderful home cooks for years. We respect the freshness, the flavors and the food itself. But we like to jazz it up a little, add something deliciously unexpected to delight your palate. Our interpretation of traditional Southern fare is creative, inventive and satisfyingly scrumptious. Cheers to New South Flavor!
