I just love the atmosphere here. The food is always delicious and varies with the season from local farmers. I would recommend making reservations for dinners.

We only eat here a couple of times a year mostly because we like to keep it special. If you have friends visiting from a top restaurant city like NYC and want to show them Chattanooga can hold it's own, take them St Johns. This restaurant has been consistently good for many years.
This is a top-tier restaurant, pricey but worth it. Service is clearly a high priority to the management - it was nice to see the staff coordinating skillfully to bring plates simultaneously to large parties. Food was magnificent - you will not be disappointed.
We attended a business dinner at St. John's and everything about it was perfect. The secluded dining area catered to our privacy needs; the food was impeccable; the service - superb. We had an excellent dining experience and all went well with our colleagues and the presentation they gave.
The service and atmosphere do not get any better in the Scenic City. The food is always superb and the service is top-notch.
We were here 5 years ago and thought it was the best restaurant ever. We scheduled a weekend for our anniversary just to eat at St. John's. We both had two different steaks. My Wagyu Steak was good but my wife's ribeye was just "so so". She said her steak at Big River Grille was better. Almost no veggies with... More
Best restaurant we have eaten at since our honeymoon. We celebrated our 7 year anniversary here and really enjoyed it. Pricey, but worth it. We had the trout fritters as an appetizer and my husband and I both loved the Duck over risotto. The chef even sent out a tasting plate with some cheeses, an added bonus.
Everything was perfect. About the best meal I have ever had in a restaurant from first course to bread to dessert. Even the tea and coffee are exceptional. Superb service. It is a pricy place but exquisite and ideal for special occasions.
I went to St. John's while on business trip to Chattanooga. The restaurant is excellent. We were nice large room which was very beautiful. The service was great and very friendly. The food was good selection of southern type dishes with high end twist. I really enjoyed the overall experience and highly recommend St. John's.
My favorite restaurant in town- hands down. If you are looking for fine dining in Chattanooga, this is definitely the place for you. I will not make any particular menu recommendations as everything I've tried here has been excellent and their menu changes. I do recommend reservations. Upstairs seating is more personal/romantic...with best seating by the large windows.
