Attached to the Embassy Suites, providing very easy access especially on a cold winter night. My wife and I sat at the bar. Drinks were made well and the service was very good. We were on our way home from 7 day vacation and this...was easily our best meal.More

It’s expensive but worth every penny! We had a fantastic anniversary date and first time at Ruth’s Chris. Our server Michael was awesome in every way. The steak is the best I’ve ever had in my life. I ate every bite and usually I’m not...a big steak person. The hostess Emily was equally as awesome. Highly recommend!More

Ruth’s Chris Steak House exceeded our expectations. We had the best anniversary dinner we could ask for. Our waiter Gil was simply the best! He gave excellent service and threw in a couple of surprises for our anniversary. The food was delicious. We had the...spicy shrimp, steak house salads, a ribeye, petite filet, and au gratin potatoes. The sides are sharable so the potatoes were enough for both of us. There is a business casual dress code. You will not be disappointed if you try Ruth’s Chris Steak House. I highly recommend it for special occasions.More

Went to Ruth’s Chris Chattanooga for the first time ever Saturday night for my company Christmas dinner. My husband and I own a very small company and we like to take our employees and their spouses out for an upscale meal at the holidays. We...eat out on this level typically 2 or so times a year as we have young children and reserve this dining for special occasions. We went to Chops in Buckhead for our previous anniversary and had the best food and one of the best service experiences I’ve ever had, so I knew that Ruth’s Chris had a lot to live up to. After dining at Ruth’s, there’s no comparison. Chops had the best beef I’ve ever tasted (wagyu) and will forever be the standard against which I judge steakhouses. Ruth’s had some really great Brussels sprouts... (This review is in 2 parts, pre-meal experience coordinating the reservation, and meal itself.) 1) I filled out an online form 4 weeks earlier as I was considering private dining. The private dining person emailed me back and then we spoke but by then had decided to just do a regular dining reservation instead of private. That person said she could make the regular reservation for me, and that I’d get an email confirmation. Email confirmation never came, and I needed to change the date, so 48 hours after speaking on the phone I email her back asking to change the reservation to the next Saturday, as I had a conflict, and letting her know I never got the confirmation. Did not get a reply. So I called, and she said she’d gotten the email, date was changed, all good, and the restaurant will call me the day before to confirm. Still never got an email confirmation but went forward with plans. Day before event I called the restaurant at 7 PM when no one had called me to confirm. So glad I did! They did not have me in the system AT ALL! They got me in for the next day fortunately but it did not bode well for our evening. (I did finally get an email at that point confirming the reservation.) Then the next day about noon I get a message to call them and ‘reconfirm’ my reservation for that night. So I have to call them again to reconfirm. 2)Saturday night our party of eight arrives and are seated right away. Hostess explains that cocktails are only listed on the iPad, so our party has to go around the table waiting for each individual to peruse the iPad before selecting a cocktail. We were greeted by the waitress and she took drink orders which came relatively promptly, as did 4 different appetizers we ordered to share at the table. Waitress took our food orders and then we waited quite a while for food that was frankly a disappointment. I had bone-in filet, medium, which was over cooked and stringy in texture almost like roast beef🤔. One couple had the porterhouse for two and said their steak was over cooked as well. The side of Brussels sprouts was much better than the steak in my experience. Other items at our table were enjoyed by several parties consisted of bone in NY strip, filet, tomahawk, plus mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and side salad with really nice steakhouse blue cheese dressing. The food was delivered by two employees other than our waitress and she did not come soon after to insure that the orders were correct, to our liking, etc. The waitress totally forgot my request for horseradish, after she asked me ‘creamy or fresh?’ Never acknowledged that. She did not smile(nor did she frown but was not welcoming at all throughout our 2 plus hours at that table.)More

My husband and I came for our anniversary dinner while on vacation. There was some anniversary confetti and we got a free dessert, which was a nice touch. My strip steak was cooked perfectly and tasted very good. I had asparagus as a side, which...was delicious. The Caesar salad was really delicious! I have actually been craving it. lol I took off one star for the following: Service: When we entered the restaurant, we were standing at the hostess station for about 3 minutes before someone came out. While walking up to the restaurant she was there, but once we got inside she had left and she wasn't seating anyone, so not sure what happened there. I also wish our server was just a little more attentive. No offer to get us more water, etc. Drink service was also slow. I got appetizers before I got my first cocktail. Food: My appetizer (osso buco ravioli) was barely warm though good. The table bread was also cold. I thought it would be warm/hot fresh out the oven style, but maybe it doesn't come that way. Overall a decent experience. I would give Ruth's Chris a second chance, but probably a different location.More

Casual dress is required, no flipflops, shorts or average beach wear.. We generally wear nice slacks and button shirts, and the wife wears a nice dress, skirt or pant and blouse.
