1885 was a completely unique experience in Chattanooga. The food was delicious - amazing even. My hubby had the shrimp and crayfish ettoufee. I had shrimp and grits. My daughter had a hot dog. Everything was cooked perfectly. We also had a pecan bread pudding which was the perfect end to our lunch. Slade was very attentive and did well... More

Friends took us there as a result of TripAdvisor ratings. It was SO good. It was a meal I remember and crave to repeat. (I had the salmon). The only downside is the concrete floors which make it a little noisy. Just ignore that and go have dinner!!! It's wonderful!!

This is nestled just at the foot of Lookout Mountain across the street from the Incline Railway. They serve Lunch and Dinner weekdays and add a brunch on weekends. The Brunch... Oh my, the brunch... A-Ma-Zing! Some of the BEST bacon and homestyle potatoes anywhere! So much flavor and perfectly prepared. We had no complaints. In the fair weather months... More

Quaint location in the St. Elmo area of Chattanooga. Very good food at good prices. Cuban sandwich was super and served with a nice bread. Chocolate cake to die for. Nice spot in the mountain area near Ruby Falls.

Very popular local restaurant at the foot of historic Lookout Mtn. Very friendly service, creative menu and well prepared dishes. This restaurant has an open ceiling and concert floors so a bit noisy but it all fits well. Nice large patio for warm weather dining. Small but active bar. Note to Chef, when slicing the flat iron steak cut against... More

We were in Chattanooga just for the day before traveling further south. At dinner time, we checked our options and came across 1885 Grill. It seemed to have a menu of several things not restricted by a specific cuisine or style. We parked on the street conveniently close to the restaurant. We were greeted by a friendly host, seated, and... More

We were in town for a couple of days and looking for a nice place upon our evening arrival. This was a bit off I-24 but in a neighborhood that is on the rebound and right at the foot of well-known Lookout Mountain. My kids both wanted sandwiches from the adult menu, so I ended up having parts of a... More

Oh my goodness the people in this city drive like maniacs! When you are from out of town it is hard when you are looking for someplace to eat when you are rushed by speeding locals. We stumbled upon this place by chance, and we were so thrilled with Megan our server! She suggested the southern fare.... yummy! Best fried... More

Restaurant was crowded when I came in the evening; I was worried as a singleton that I would not be seated quickly nor served well. So happy that neither concern was valid!! Table made ready quickly for me, in the meantime sat at the bar and given an excellent adult beverage with lovely service. Seated before 10 minutes! Have to... More
