We ordered a shrimp cocktail appetizer and there were only 5 shrimp but they were big, so its okay, but kind... More

The worst management and the worst staff that I've ever been around in a restaurant! The management never even acknowledged that we had issues with the preparation of our food or the fact that it took forever to receive our food. Again terrible management and terrible staff.

1885 Grill serves a range of interests. Beer? They have a great selection. Cocktails? Very inventive! Pub food? Try the wings--especially on Mondays, when they're discounted. Outdoor dining? Nice terrace. Seafood? I was totally happy with the trout and crab cake, and my partner loved the sea scallops. Veggies? On my next visit I will order a bowl or two... More

Delicious food, quaint town. Thank you John, our server that recommended the absolutely delicious fried chicken dinner! Great place for kids, but ask for no oregano on the French fries.

John did a great job on taking care of us. (Father Son Trip) We both had the chicken and both were very pleased-their Mac and Cheese is great also. Afterwards John went out of his way to make us a fresh pot of coffee. Great price for great food and service!

We ate at 1885 Grill last night after driving two hours from Atlanta for a concert at the Barking Legs Theater in Chattanooga. Wow, it lived up to all the good reviews. Our waiter, Andrew, was outstanding. He suggested the Pimento Cheese and Fried Okra appetizer. I usually hate okra, but this was amazing and tender. Baby okra cut in... More

This hidden gem is the beautiful little historic district of St. Elmo is a can't miss for brunch. Try the bananas foster Belgium waffles, or the country breakfast with sour dough toast. And don't forget the Bloody Mary bar where yo can have it your way.

We visited 1885 Grill with our 8 and 10 year olds after a very long day. We decided to sit outside (which was a great area), and waited for quite a while before anyone came to see about us. However...once they realized the confusion, they quickly took care of it and of us. The food was outstanding, as was the... More

Had the shrimp etouffee and it was delicious. We got the mild and it was still fairly spicy so be aware of that. Drinks were good too.
