Sweet heavens, this place is amazing. The pork bbq plate was absolutely delicious. Real homemade fried okra. Potato salad was perfect. My family had the slaw, baked beans, and green beans with their barbecue, and everyone raved about how good it was. Their sweet tea should be famous, along with the homemade apple pie. Great, friendly service. They have a... More

The chopped pork was okay... a little dry, but the sauce was pretty good. I didn't care for the Brunswick stew (what restaurant adds elbow macaroni?!?) or the green beans (too sweet). The fried okra was okay, but overcooked (deep brown instead of light). Everybody was polite and friendly, but I expected better food after seeing all the great reviews.... More

Best bbq and catfish we've ever had! Everything is homemade as very fresh! Awesome onion rings and Apple Pie to die for! If your in or near East Ridge Tennessee it's a must to visit the Hickory Pit Bbq!

Honey Pit is kind of out of the way and was a second choice when the place we wanted was closed. However, we were quite happy with this second choice. I had the ribs with cole slaw and potato salad for sides. The slaw was a pretty finely diced, which isn't my preference, but it had a good flavor. The... More

The Brunswick stew is awesome. Staff is also very nice and on top of things. Got the pulled pork which was also very yummy.

Picked up dinner here and was not impressed by the food or staff. The lady who took out order was nice enough, but she was running all over the place and it was several minutes between greeting us, then taking our order, then finally taking our money. We unfortunately saw several food items being touched with bare hands and being... More

We were going to pick up and take to our room. But the employee was so endearing and wanted us to sit down and enjoy our meal there. We consented. They made the experience better with their southern hospitality. The cook served us our meal and waited to see our reaction. This reminded me of how my wife wait to... More

We had a good dinner experience here, with tasty food and friendly people. The poppers were particularly well done. We recommend this one.

Thank George E
