The vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike loved the food! We will definitely come here again anytime we are in Chattanooga. COVID precautions: We just picked-up our order, but we did notice that staff was wearing masks, they had outdoor seating, and indoor patrons were well-spaced out.

We were pleasantly surprised by the menu and all the options. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The owners were gracious and even sold us a couple of bottles of their homemade soy sauce. We will definitely be back.

Was here last week for lunch. The owner told us he got out of the chain and is now on his own and changing the name to Tokyo, Had a sashimi bow for lunch. The hotate (scallop) was so fresh and firm, my friend could...not believe it was not cooked. Someday I will actually try the cooked dishes too.More

Stopped in early for dinner. Quiet then, but by the time I left it was getting filled up. I am a fish lover so I had the sashimi dinner. Great selection of fish including two of my favorites, hotate (Scallop) and tako (octopus). Very generous...portions. Also a good selection of Japanese beer and sake. My only complaint was that my cold sake was more like room temperature. I like mine well chilled.More

Slow service & the outside seating could use a face lift. In the bathroom they had toilet seat cleaner attached to the wall... I had never seen that before. It seemed like it was meant to look fancy, but in reality came off a quite...tacky. The food was okay, the prices were a little steep given the quality. Overall it was nothing to write home about.More

We were pleasantly surprised at the flavor of the teriyaki beef and the fried rice was some of the best we have eaten in a long time. The atmosphere of the place was nice because we were there early and not real busy yet for...a Friday evening. Our service was good and we have decided this restaurant will on our list for a return visit.More

We didn't have the best experience here. The yellowtail was the worst I've had. The Oyako Don dish my partner had was pretty dry and lacking in flavor, as well, and basically ended up being a sub-par chicken fried rice. The place was empty, too....It was about 5:30 PM-ish on a Sunday, but other establishments we bounced around at weren't quite as slow. This may have just been a stand-alone experience, though. I'd say check it out once based on some other's at least somewhat better opinions. Even if better, though, there are better Chattanooga Asian restaurant options are my thoughts.More

Sekisui moved to its Southside close to Warehouse Row location several years ago. It has a quiet, somewhat upscale ambiance. I really like their food - it is pretty much only Japanese offerings. Their menu is extensive and you may want to ask your server...about what is what if you aren't familiar with Japanese cuisine. I dined there with our son who is into all things Asian. I ordered from their early dinner special which gives you a sushi roll and an entree. I do not like fish, but have learned to love non-fish sushi. Their sushi is great. Be careful about their wasabi - it is hot! My entree was Katsu pork - a pork cutlet. My son had Nigiri = a variant on sushi served on rice. My wife had Yakitori pork - grilled meat with veggies. The early specials coincide with their happy hour and can save a few dollars.More

Located in the heart of the downtown area, the outside seating area was dirty and many of the tiled tables had broken tiles which made them unusable. The interior shows wear in several areas. This facility really needs a facelift. Service was decent, very large...menu, especially for dinner. I am pretty sure we visited this establishment many years ago when it was across the street from the aquarium. It was much nicer back then. The food now is mediocre at best. We enjoy oriental cuisine, my wife makes many meals at home and we seek them out when we are on vacation. The miso soup had an off flavor, maybe poor water that should have been filtered? The main course meat was very dry and seemed overcooked, not very enjoyable at all. With the poor atmosphere and food I would look elsewhere. If you want Asian or some other style of food there are just too many other establishments to select from in this large city.More

We inadvertently took the wrong exit, lost & hungry. Our first time here. The town looked dead, the restaurant was empty (but they're still open for 2 more hours). Considering we were the only customers, service was slow as snail. Server seemed new (but amicably...nice!) & not familiar with menu and/or ingredients. The place looks modern & classy. Our meals tasted fine - we ordered bento boxes - but the portions were insufficient to merit the price.More
