This is a favorite stop any time we visit family in Chattanooga! The food is consistently good, prices are reasonable, and service is friendly. We love the outside seating too.

We visited the Tennessee Aquarium on a Saturday and ate lunch at Big River Grille. It is right across the street from the aquarium, so the location was ideal. We had a party of nine, and they got a table ready for us quickly. The atmosphere is wonderful and feels upscale and comfortable. They have a varied menu at all... More

Great atmosphere, good beer. Below average food and service. Wife and I shared entrees. She had the lowland shrimp and grits and I had the shrimp and lobster tacos. Grits were unseasoned and I don't think they had the Parmesan cheese added to them, we had to add lots of salt to give them flavor. Most shrimp and grits lowland... More

The food was ok, we got seated right away! The server was awesome and explained the menu very well! We had a IPA and it was decent. Nothing to really rave about, just regular bar/pub food! The fish and chips were good, I wouldn't recommend the fish tacos!

Went for the first time, early supper. Service was very good, atmosphere was typical pub. TVs are small though and seating not that comfortable. Beer is good, but the food quality was inconsistent. Our roasted tomato and kale salad was good, but our brisket stuffed burger was fair at best. Have definitely had much better. No reason to go back.

We got a recommendation from Hampton Inn to stop in Big River....Wow are we glad we did. We had the Eggroll appetizer which was good but a little dry, don't think we would do that one again. The Smoked tomato Kale Caesar salad was amazing👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 and the pizza should get a "Best of Award"🍕🍕🍕🏆. The craft beers were excellent and... More

A group of us had dinner here while visiting. Several with the group had eaten here before and said it was really good. We didn't have a long wait, as the time was around 3pm on a Sunday evening. The atmosphere was quiet nice. It is located downtown, and the building is really old with a very laid back relaxing... More

The sides aren't the greatest but everything else is! I had the Baja chicken sandwich which was loaded with avacado. My husband had the smash-and-stack burger and was able to order medium-rare (for his weird culinary taste). We were both overall pleased. He especially with the Vienna lager!
