Stumbled upon this little gem after hitting Rock City. Great outdoor patio. Food, drinks and service were great!

Came for drinks only and very slow slow service. After not getting waited on for a long time after having our first drink we decided not to have another one. Would hate to know how It was if food was ordered. Cool environment thought. Drink...seemed week.More

Sanitation is important and you should know on Saturday 06.27.2020. Bartender no mask Kitchen staff no mask Tables not sanitized after guests leave. On a positive note the severs were wearing a mask and the baked Brie with pesto appetizer was wonderful.

We come to Chattanooga every year with a group of students. This place had fives stars so we made the walk over. Very neat building. Tight place with roof top area. Must be 21 y.o. to enter. After walking over we realized you can smoke...inside the place. That is why i am only giving 4 stars. The food and service were fantastic. We got food to go. But we smelled so bad of smoke afterwards. I know it was our choice to enter. The food did not disappoint but the smoking did. Very cute place!More

I’ve wanted to eat here for a long time because of the unique structure of this pub (sits on a point of two streets) so I specifically drove to Chattanooga after a day trip to eat here. I was lucky to score a free parking...space on the short street adjacent to the building- which is great cause I didn’t want to pay a meter. The reviews I read online were good and the menu was fair prices as well. Unfortunately, that was a bit misleading to the overall dining experience. There’s a small sign on the door that reads they DO allow smoking inside. I didn’t let that discourage me because I really wanted to try this place and I was planning on dining outside on the upstairs outdoor balcony anyway. It is a true pub in every sense of the word. I suppose if you go there frequently (or if you smoke) you’ll get a much better reception. I will say that the food was very tasty indeed! However, the staff seemed a little annoyed at my questions about certain sandwiches and that fact I wasn’t smoking or drinking. Made me a little sad cause it seemed like the kind of place that should have been where... “everybody knows your name... and they’re always glad you came...” but it was not. Would I go again? Meh...maybe for that philly cheese steak but then again -maybe not.More

Recently took a quick trip over for lunch. While the service can be slow, the sandwich more than made up for it. This is a 21 and over spot and supports a smoking environment. We opted for the roof top dining but was able to...tuck away into the corner to avoid most of it. The breezy afternoon helped.More

We found the Pickle Barrel by accident and decided to try it. The atmosphere is truly fun. The downstairs takes full advantage of the building's wedge shape. The upstairs is a typical rooftop dining site. The menu is simple and the food is very good....The service, however, was truly just blah. Our server had to be reminded to bring drinks and someone else entirely brought our food and attended to us during the meal. We had burgers, fries, and beers. I recommend it, but only for the food and atmosphere.More

21 and up step right into a building hundreds of years old but youthfully home to this wonderful restaurant and pub. Dine in or dine out on the rooftop patio; both have a welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend the sidewinder fries no matter what you...get; a tasteful hybrid of a wedge fry meets curly fry that can't be denied. Don't know what to choose to go with your sidewinder fries then let me suggest the lightly dusted shrimp that beats any shrimp I've ever had or the double decker club sandwich that's hard to beat (Note: it comes with kettle chips unless you substitute them for sidewinder fries or other substitute options. The kettle chips are pretty great too.). Be sure not to rush, sit back and enjoy your company and surroundings at this Chattanooga gem.More
