The barbecue was good. Moist and Smokey. The sides I tried were also good (green beans and baked beans). But the peanut butter pie is absolutely exceptional. One of the best desserts I have ever tried!
Best Ribs around Chattanooga and Nashville. Worth the drive. I had the half rack of ribs with slaw and baked beans. Awesome! I then heard about their pizza!! I will definitely give that a try but love their ribs!! Great service and hospitality !
Just a clean hole in the strip mall but those can be the best local restaurants. We split barbecue and pizza for dinner and both were wonderful. Pizza is they kind to hold up to multiply toppings even though I only had one. But the...barbecue? Heaven. We were just in Chattanooga to do the tourist stuff but I might have to plan future trip through here at least for a lunch or dinner stop. Also staff were helpful and friendly.More
I hate hate hate to leave bad reviews. But we tried it twice in one week and disappointed both times. We are here years ago and everything was fabulous. Not sure what has happened to them. They were full staffed today, we got there when...they opened. When we came last week they were out of most desserts. I messaged through Facebook inquiring about ordering a pie for the way home. They responded and asked what day I would be back. I messaged again this am but when we arrived the employees stated owners are the ones who make pies and they had not showed up. Disappointed again as we are from Texas (11 hours away). We decided to order lunch. They no longer have fries (which was one of their best dishes from a few years ago topped with bbq). So we ordered two bbq potatoes. Potatoes were not done. Bbq was just ok. Daughter ordered hamburger. Cashier did not know what all came on hamburger and didn’t even go ask. Cashier writes everything down that you order and how you like it. But all 3 of our orders came out wrong. They lost 2 groups of 15 people from ordering when they found out they did not have desserts. It seems if you order a pizza it comes quick. We waited 30 min to eat.More
We waited a very long time for our food and when we finally got it, some of it was incorrect and wasn’t hot. Everything was under seasoned. My husband and son said the mac and cheese and beans were good. I tried theirs and wasn’t...impressed with either. The pulled pork and no flavor at all. We never got refills on our teas. I heard 2 other tables complain about the wait, as well. At the table next to us, part of them had finished eating while others hadn’t even received their food. They asked for money back. I gave it 2 stars because the I liked the hole in the wall, mom and pop vibe and the staff was friendly, what little interaction we had with them. Maybe we caught them on a bad day, but I don’t understand the good reviews.More
I had a 1/2 rack of ribs, and my wife had the loaded potato. Both were exceptional. I would eat here again. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Modest dining area, plastic utensils and dinnerware. Its more of a take-out place with facilities to eat there...if you wish. great food though.More
The day my son and I were there they were out of ribs and beef leaving pork and chicken sandwiches and full plates. I will say that the 1/3 Lb. chicken plate was much more than 1/3 pound. The coleslaw and sweet potato were both...good. The three young people who were managing the takeout orders and seated orders were very efficient and courteous. I would give it a chance again and put aside my first experience.More
Not sure if we went there on a bad day or what, but it’s one of the worst BBQ we’ve had. We share a combo plate with coleslaw and green beans. We wanted a sweet potato for one of our sides, but they told us...that counts as two sides, but it’s listed as a regular side. We asked how big the half rack is and the waitress had to check to see if they even had any ribs left. What???
Our waitress was sweet, but not sure if she was new. We asked for extra napkins (it is a BBQ place after all) and she had to go back and tear off some paper towels from the kitchen to give us extra napkins. Our table was dirty (I usually clean our tables with sanitizer anyway). The brisket was so dry, we couldn’t finish it. Some of the ribs were tender and flavorful, but others were so tough on top, we couldn’t eat those sections either. The beans were piping hot and fine, as was the coleslaw, although I’m sure it’s probably pre-made. Very disappointing!More
