Friday night at 7:30pm a very short wait to get a table. Wonderful waitress service. Our waitress had a huge table and another waitress backed her up with drink refills. We all ordered Fried Chicken which was perfect. Large breasts and seasoned well. Our friends enjoyed themselves very much!

The fried chicken was not bad but it wasn't great either. I was born and raised in the South and I'm very picky about fried chicken, catfish, and bbq. The chicken was crispy and moist but you get that when you fry chicken anyways. The seasoning on the chicken was average and I find it hard to believe that this... More

We were told to visit here by some locals. The chicken was great. My girlfriend was able to get dark meat unlike many place at home. I had the chicken tender plate. The chicken was great, but the sides where a little lacking. I got fries and they were definitely fried in older oil which isn't a huge deal, but... More

I've NEVER been disappointed at Champy's. They have the BEST fried chicken in the city. It is always scorching hot. A little bit of a wait, but totally worth it.

We kept hearing about Champies and decided to try it out. Before we got there my wife said all fried chicken is pretty much the same. After her first bite she said this chicken was by far the best she's had. We both ordered the thigh and leg dinner, which came with 2 sides. We had coleslaw and beans which... More

Visiting from the UK and friends brought us to the famous Champys for chicken. I hate greasy food but this chicken is really really good! The mashed potatoes and gravy were delicious too. We all ate really well and had fantastic, friendly service.

They always have great chicken. The wings are really special. But for a real taste of the south try the tamales straight from the Mississippi delta.

When you first approach the restraunt, the outside is a little questionable, but the food is outstanding. We had the 3 piece chicken meal, with coleslaw, baked beans, and mashed potatoes and gravy. The entire meal was great, the chicken was crispy, and the sides were some of the best we've had. We would recommend this place to anyone wanting... More

I'm a fried chicken individual!!! Guess I've tried it all over U.S. But Champys is the best! We ate on patio for lunch with fans blowing our plates but who really cared. Very picnic style, casual. Didn't go inside but feel sure it was same inside. It was crowded to be just after the week lunch hour but not much... More
