Had lunch here at the recommendation of a colleague. The decor is very inviting. There was a bit of a wait but we were to find a spot at the bar. The food and service was great. I had the pimento bacon cheeseburger. Perfectly cooked. Big portion. Will eat here again if I am ever in Chattanooga!

Lovely industrial setting in an old warehouse. The side items were all locally grown. The specialties are the pot roast and fried chicken. I opted for a small plate of sea scallops with mashed acorn squash & pecan brown butter. I could not believe how well the pecan butter favored the sweet, succulent scallops. It was an amazing dish! Excellent Valentine's Day lunch at the Public House. We were seated at a small, comfortable table near the bar. We ordered a small plate of veggies and humus- prepared in a very unique and tasty manner. We then shared a veggie plate and a meat and cheese plate. More then enough food for the two of us. Everything was prepared... More

The staff was accommodating and allowed us to change our table on the porch from an unfortunate position by the door to a table overlooking Market Street. The food has been excellent on both of our recent visits. The service as been great. We have cobbled together meals of starters and main courses (almost like tapas). The staff has always... More

I have eaten at this restaurant many times. The food is always exceptionally delicious. The fried chicken is amazing. I love the caprese salad when in season. They use local fresh ingredients. Don't forget to save room for the peanut butter pie. It is the best dessert.

We stopped by Public House after spending the day at Rock City and Ruby Falls. The seafood soup was superb. The complimentary bread was nothing special. Shrimp and Grits were excellent as well as the fried chicken. The service was quick and friendly. Prices are just a little high but worth the extra.

Traditional Southern food, sometimes with a twist. Fried chicken with Mac was tasty, as was the potbelly starter, steak frites, and the praline carrot cake. The staff is friendly, though sometimes distracted. Background noise was surprising pound for a restaurant of this type. I suppose it means lots of conversations and less texting. A good value.

Two of us came in for an early dinner. Since we didn't have reservations we were directed to the bar area. This was the only negative thing I can say as we didn't make reservations since it was before 5 p.m. I would have rather sat at a table but the only seats we found were at the bar. Even... More
