The atmosphere is great here, food is very good, and the service is usually very good as well. I would love to see more options, maybe changing out the menu more frequently? In my experience, there is not enough offered to entice a kid, even older kids. The firebox interests them, but the food does not seem to grab them.... More

So me and the family had dinner there tonight, two of us had the pizza, one had the pork and had a pasta dish and was not disappointed. Waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly. Great atmosphere, not too noisy and the staff in general was pleasant. Valet parking was a plus. I highly recommend.

It takes a lot of time and effort to make pasta by hand. However, the difference is worth it. You will become a pasta snob once you taste the difference and won't regret telling yourself, "never again" to the dried noodles down the international isle. I have eaten here numerous times. The service is never bad, but you will have... More

I really enjoyed the vibes alleia gave, but the service was slow and they had no gluten free options besides a salad. It lists that they have "gluten free options" but that was not the case. None of the pizza or pasta was available to make gluten free. Coming from out of a town, a local told us about this... More

Jordan C., On behalf of Chef Daniel and the entire Alleia team, thank you for allowing us to host you. That said, I'm remiss and embarrassed by your experience. While I won't make excuses for inexcusable mistakes, please know that your experience is an unfortunate outlier, far from the standards we strive to achieve. I don't take anyone's choice to... More

Great food, great atmosphere. Visited early on a Sat night. Started with the Calamari, recommended, took the waiter's recommendation on salads and choose a pasta and a pizza. Pizza was good but the pasta was spectacular. So many interesting items on the menu, we need to return very soon.

This place is expensive, but very nice in terms of celebrating something special as we were that night. We sat outside on the pretty patio which was uncrowded on a Monday night. As a side note, Chattanooga basically shuts down on Sunday and Monday nights, so plan your outings with that in mind. The bruchetta was different - a light,... More

My husband {fiance at the time} and I went for a weekend and had an incredible dinner. The ambiance was perfect, and everything from the wine to apps to entrees and dessert were fabulous!!! This is such a great romantic place!

Great food and staff. Nice atmosphere - we were right opposite the kitchen and got to check out every dish. Fresh pasta, homemade gelato. Fine food and fun! Very enjoyable evening.

The food and venue are both works of art in this fine dining experience. I have never been disappointed by any of their options. Have drinks in their comfy lounge area prior to dinner enjoying the large aviator painting on the wall. Very impressive for a special date :)

We did a take out, so I cannot speak to interior appointments or what service may be like at table. This was a last minute decision for our first experience, and we did not have time to prepare/dress for dinner. The experience. When our take-out should have been ready, no one seemed to know what to do about it, where... More

Thoughts of opening an additional concept in the southside of chattanooga stirred in 2004. chef lindley wanted to explore true rustic italian, but incorporate regional flavor. exceptional ingredients imported from italy and quality produce delivered from local farms make this vision a reality. situated in chattanooga's rejuvenated southside neighborhood, alleia resides in the old harrington building. the fulfillment of chef daniel lindley's dream of offering simple, italian inspired cuisine opened its doors in april 2009. chef lindley's latest venture is a unique interpretation of rustic italian cuisine, using local ingredients to create an evolving menu. alleia boasts seven types of house made pasta and a custom brick oven that reaches 750 degrees for pizza making. remarkably designed by rodney simmons of revival studio, alleia captures the warmth and comfort of a traditional trattoria, while breaking new ground in present-day restaurant design. trimmed in 300 year old wood taken from the harrington building, the space can seat 150, including a striking communal table that seats 32. the porch at alleia marries the best of al fresco and indoor dining. featuring a generous wraparound banquette, climbing jasmine and views of lookout mountain, the porch provides reprieve from the bustle of the southside. please enjoy.
