We were in town visiting from AZ celebrating my birthday. Looked this place up and decided to spend my birthday dinner here. The food was well portioned, had great test, and was satisfying. The disappointment! We noticed they sang Happy Birthday to someone in another...table and brought them a flan. My husband then proceeded to ask if they would sing to me for my birthday. The waitress said if we’re not to busy maybe. She then asked what kind of dessert I wanted. After a while, she came back to the table and asked for my picture ID since she mentioned the manager needed to see proof. After I handed her my state ID and she verified it was in deed my bday, she brought me a trees leches cake and just left it on the table. Stated they were too busy to sing to me, when tables had already cleared and they were not as busy as when we arrived. I felt humiliated and disrespected as if I was going to lie about something like that. Not a great experience.More

This place is AMAZING! Pricing was good and so was the food! We get there and were immediately sat in a comfy booth. This place is beautifully decorated. We were served water as soon as we were sat down. And let me tell you that...was the best tasting water. We ordered amazing very berry margaritas. Our food came out hot and tasty although his steak was a little overcooked, he ate every bite. I had the pollo loco and it was delicious. Portions are large and yes I waddled out of there happy as a clam.More

Once again we found ourselves at 9pm looking for a good meal in downtown Chattanooga. And once again we found ourselves at Mayan Kitchen. Expect nicely prepared, tasty food and good portion sizes at a reasonable price. We've been here twice in the last year...and both times were excellent. We went boring tonight and had the chicken fajitas. It's hard to mess this up, but our meals plus the guac were excellent. Service was attentive and fast. Atmosphere is upscale Mexican. It really is a very nice place. I left impressed once again.More

We had the yuca frita (fried plantain) appetizer and shared the grilled Hanger steak. Served with rosemary and roasted garlic fingerling potatoes, sautéed onions, queso fresco, and chimichurri sauce. Excellent tasting food overall - enjoyed this restaurant a lot.

Was there around 4 o’clock. There looked to be only four or five tables eating. Was told there would be a 10 to 15 minute wait. Waited over 15 minutes and then just left. There was no one in sight at the front door. They...obviously did not need my money anyway. UnacceptableMore

Located downtown, the vibe was cool and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful in selecting entrees and drinks. Had a great jalapeño margarita. Very reasonably priced for flavorful and plentiful dishes. Larry the bartender was great!

My family and I had one of the best meals we’ve ever eaten at this restaurant. Everything was outstanding and the service staff was beyond accommodating. The manager made sure our meal was perfect and even offered suggestions to make it better. We will definitely...be eating at this restaurant again in the very near future!More

The Mayan Kitchen was a beautiful building with modern decor. The food was fabulous. I ordered the papusas, Excellent.

Great meal as well as drinks. Had the plantain app and a great margarita. I had the chicken fajitas and the homemade passionfruit soda which was delicious

We stopped in for a casual lunch. The food was great, the service was good and the prices were fair. This place has quickly become my favorite Mexican restaurant in Chattanooga.

Amazing upscale Latin cuisine with a fantastic tequila selection and consistently great service! Bartenders really know what they are doing, live Latin Jazz music on weekends, and late night DJ events from time to time! Highly recommend!!

I stopped by here for lunch when visiting Chattanooga. I ordered tacos and they were good. I also had a draft beer, They do not have large selection of draft beers. I had Pacifico and it was good. Service was nice.
