Delicious meals, came with a big basket of fresh hot biscuits, with preserves on the table. Spent less than $10 each, for a good meal. Good service.

A friend of mine took me here for lunch. Dave recommended that I try the fried chicken ~ it was awesome Pan fried is the best. They actually brought out an extra leg because the cook thought that the one on my plate was too small. WOW the okra was done right and the biscuits were perfect. The preserves mad... More

I have been going to Beacon Light, named for a WW II airstrip nearby, off and on for 50 years. We went with friends from Nashville to a funeral visitation nearby and decided to stop at Beacon Light on our way back to Nashville. They specialize in fried chicken, country ham, and wonderful thin biscuits. People in our group had... More

There is not much other than chains on I-40 between Nashville and Memphis. We decided to take this 15 minutes drive and it was well worth it. The fried chicken is the best I have ever had, and my husband loved the biscuits. Just good old country cooking. The service was great too!

There weren't many people there so perhaps it was an 'off' time because we hear people rave about it. Don't know if we will return unless right here by... More

Very informal, casual dining with definite southern cooking cuisine. Don't be fooled by the biscjits small size because they are bursting with flavor and could be a meal in themselves. Portions are generous. Went there for dinner, but would love to go back for breakfast. A very popular place during peak times so would suggest visiting around that time --... More

If you don't know about this place "Beacon Light" it is a must visit you will enjoy. Country fixins at its best. Biscuits are a must.
