Everything is fresh and they will prepare to an individual's taste. I don't like things super hot so mine is made with just a little pepper. Really interested in making sure the customer likes the food.

This place is in the spot where the old Bailey's country cooking restaurant was located. I say that because nothing in the decor has changed. It looks like Bailey's just closed and this place walked in and started cooking. Now with that being said there was NOTHING wrong with the food... but decor and ambience are as much a part of the dining experience as the food. The menu features both Japanese and Chinese cuisine. They also have a very nice selection of sushi or "special roll" as the menu list them. Two of the other nice options are the hibachi entrees (cooked in the kitchen) not on one of those tables in front of you like a show and the Special Health Menu which listed five steamed options served with white rice. They of course feature some of the traditional items such as Egg Foo Young and Lo Mein/Chow Mein and Chop Suey. The menu is rounded out with soups, appetizers and different kinds of fried rice. We both choose the Hibachi entrees and asked for white or steamed rice ... it was served before hand with a house salad with a traditional dressing on the side. I ordered a Miso soup and while very inexpensive it wasn't to my taste. Now don't get me wrong it was a good soup according to my wife but it had a tad to much fish taste to it for me. I am more use to a clear broth type. Overall an excellent meal and I had no complaints and will be back.

Online order screen allows you to specify delivery time, yet delivery is unreliable. Tonight I called about late delivery (again) and was told that my order was not even prepared because I had cancelled the last order. Cancelled last order because it never arrived; I called and was treated rudely. Allowing for traffic, heavy volume, etc., allowances must be made, but when you give them two hours head start just can't believe delivery cannot be made timely.

I have ordered from Asian Star for several years. Over the last few months, the quality of the food has really gone down. When I select the spiciest option, I expect at least a little spice, but the last couple of times, the food was bland. The employees are generally rude. They have raised their prices a couple of times recently, which would be fine if the food was good, but it wasn't. I definitely won't be back.

I have had them twice now and it really has no flavor. The steak is poor quality and chewy and the rice is bland. It cost me $18 and not worth it. Also, they have a weird hot sauce that really isn't hot and has bad after taste. Would recommend elsewhere.

We went at 7 o'clock on a Sunday night and ordered a spring roll, egg drop soup, a California roll, shrimp fried rice, and Kung Pao chicken. The service was quick, attentive and friendly. The restaurant was clean. The food was fresh and very tasty, and the servings were large. We will be going back!

I have found this to be a great little place to go and get lunch. The service is great and the food is always served hot and fresh. The lunch menu is very affordable and great value for the variety of things it offers.
