was excited to visit this small town bakery between Yankton and Wall after reading the reviews.probably set expectations too high. Inside the bakery immediately saw fruit sticks and turnovers that come frozen par baked and can be had at many grocery stores. Bad sign. The...cakes I had seen on the website were nowhere to be found. Many many donut styles but really had to skip them so soon after breakfast. So we chose from the selection of small cookies-chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin. Disappointingly small dry & bland. May not have even been made in house. Frozen commercial dough?? didn't enjoy at all but mostly my fault.More

This is the best small town bakery. Their donuts, rolls, breads, dinner rolls, ect. are outstanding.

Was in town for a couple of days and placed a somewhat large order to bring to my customer. I put the order in the day before and it was ready the next morning as requested. Everyone loved the sweet treats and apparently they have...quite hte following in the area.More

Some of the better kuchen in the area, but if you don't get here early they sell out of items fast. I did think the poppyseed kolaches were a little a little bland, but the other items like bread and doughnuts were good. Next time...I would call this place a day ahead to make sure they will have items I want in the case.More

This bakery is well-worth a side trip if you are driving through South Dakota. The variety of kuchen alone makes visiting Tyndall a must. Stock up on the breads and rolls as well. And definitely call ahead with your order or get to the bakery...early! If you will be in the Yankton, South Dakota, area, it's a quick hop north and west on highway 50 to Tyndall.More
