Nikki’s has fresh, delicious, authentic Mexican food at a reasonable price. Fast, friendly service, too. And if you need ready-to-eat avocados, stop in at he grocery next door. Better than buying at a regular grocery store, and having to wait 3-4 days for them to...ripen before you can eat them.More
I have always loved Nikkis, it was kinda the only place in Sioux Falls with true, good Mexican food. Me and my dad always went there.. but when I was 6, there was FREAKING WORMS IN ONE OF THE BREAD DESERTS! Yeah, worms! I never...got the jelly filled bread again! Now, whenever I go to get some Hispanic bread, I avoid Jelly filled bread at all costs! I even get a little worried at Jelly filled donuts.... that ONE experiance ruined it all! And when we went there a few years later it was good... because I didnt get the bread, I just got a Tostada. Never gonna forget that.More
Place is really run down. The area is not one I would feel comfortable walking around. I went into their store for a few items, but service is awful. Employees are rude. After complaining about bad service, an employee even threatened getting physical. Most ghetto...place I've ever been too, but not worth the hassle.More
My boyfriend and I didn't eat all day and stopped here around 1ish. I'm SO glad we did because we got the biggest burritos I've ever seen! They were so good too I can't believe I was able to finish it! It was cool that...you got to customize what was inside of it too.More
They had a very good chicken / pork pasole. This is an awesome soup, if you don't know what it is.
In addition, I had two shredded beef enchiladas with beans and rice. Very good. They've got a cart that has all kinds of hot...sauces with jalapeños and carrots and onions. Muy bien.More
New to area, lived a while in Guadalajara, heard there was a great taquería and Mexican grocery store in Sioux Falls. Its only 6 blocks from my office downtown, has ample parking. And yes!! The tacos are fabulous! Corn or flour tortillas (and corn are...doubled like they are supposed to be). Pick your meat: barbacoa-shredded beef, carnitas-shredded pork, al pastor-seasoned pork, minced beef, lengua-tongue, chicharron-soft stewy pork and spicy, and a few chicken choices. Then go down the line and they make the taco how you want. Go full mexican style: cilantro, onion, lime, a little pico de gallo. For those gringos out there, they have lettuce, tomato, cheese, sour cream. The burritos are HUGE and filled with meats (same meats for tacos), rice, refried beans, and all the fixins you wnat. They have about 8 kinds of homemade hot sauce you can pick what you like. I got 3 tacos: lengua (LOVE IT), al pastor (tasty), chicharron (too wet for my liking but tons of flavor). $5.25 for these 3 tacos. My friend's burrito was $6.25. If you can get past the wimpy paper plates and old fashioned tables and chairs, you will get what you came for--authentic tacos like from El Mercado Central of any Mexican town.More
I had a pork burrito and my boyfriend had a pork chimi meal. The meat was so dried out and hard we couldn't even chew it. My tortilla was also really over cooked and crunchy. Not to mention the fact there was so much oil...dripping off of my tortilla it was saturated. This is the first time we tried Nikki's and we were excited due to all the good reviews. Unfortunately we won't be back because Qdoba isn't "authentic" necessarily but it blows this place out of the water! Not to mention it was 20$ for a crappy burrito and a chimi meal with one drink. Sorry Nikki's we wanted to like it!More
Reasonably priced, delicious, and the most authentic Mexican food I've had in Sioux Falls. Their selection of meat is great and all perfectly seasoned. Taco Tuesday is great because you can get authentic tacos for cheap. Try the carne asada; it is amazing!
