We were here in October 2016. We ordered the Fire Marshall grilled chicken sandwich and the Buffalo Blue burger. Both were fine but nothing to write home about. The atmosphere of the building is another story if you like firehouses. Very interesting.

After a busy day at Mount Rushmore and Custer State Park, we were looking for a place to relax, have a beer or two and a snack. The Firehouse fit the bill perfectly. Great ambiance. A wonderful selection of beers brewed in house. The onion rings were excellent. Should we pass that way again, we'll definitely come back to the... More

This restaurant is in a actual converted firehouse. You have a choice of seating. Sidewalk cafe, indoors or the covered patio. We sat inside and were facinated with al the firehouse items from all over. The menue has many items to choose from that should suit everyones taste buds. I opted fo rthe Gumbo and my friend ordered the Pork... More

Great service and great atmosphere! Had not heard of this until we were told by mstar hotel staff that this was THE PLACE to be! So glad that we visited. Our server (Audra maybe?) was so nice and seemed excited to be there. Food was fast, service was friendly and it seemed like a great team effort (the person that... More

Hit this place around noon on the way out to Winner for our yearly hunt. Great food, great service, great ambiance, great beer. Not too crowded for a lunch time. The sausage was nicely spicey. The is a tabletop selection of sauces sure to fit most palettes. This would be a great place to hang for an afternoon or evening... More

Very popular spot. We were greeted/seated quite quickly. However, when we looked over the menu, we were quite disappointed. We don't eat red meat. With that in mind, the choices are quite limited -- nothing we really wanted to spend any money on. Advice: Go to the website and look into the choices before you head there!

Ordered hamburgers -- they were way over-cooked, not juicy at all. Garlic cheese mashers didn't taste of garlic or cheese. Waiter was friendly. Wouldn't go back.

We stopped in the Firehouse for a bite to eat and a beer while visiting Rapid City. This was a pleasant surprise and the staff made a great impression. The onsite brew selection was incredible and the food was excellent. I would recommend this to anyone visiting downtown Rapid City.

"The Firehouse," as it is called by locals, is one of the city's most unique and interesting landmarks. -Housed within the original Rapid City firehouse, a structure built of four layer brick in 1915, the building is listed on the National Historic Register. We offer a full service restaurant and bar with indoor and outdoor dining. Experience a vibrant atmosphere with live entertainment by local musicians in addition to live theatre most Friday and Saturday evenings (view our website for a list of upcoming events). Of course, the Main attraction at the Firehouse is our uniquely flavored, hand crafted beers along with a menu of the Midwest's favorite dishes. With culinary selections ranging from salads and BBQ to buffalo and gumbo, there is something for everyone at the Firehouse Brewing Company.
