The food was excellent and the portions are HUGE. The staff did an especially great job accommodating the guests and waiting diners while managing the COVID regulations. We especially liked that the chef could make your dish as hot and spicy as you like.

My husband and I ate here for dinner and were lucky enough to score an outdoor table, as we didn't want take out. Our food was still delivered to our table in take out containers, but the owner was kind enough to offer us paper plates so we could split everything. We ordered a sampler of appetizers and a chicken biryani meal along with a shrimp dish. Everything was tasty and well spiced and the portions were quite large. Service was friendly and we enjoyed getting the opportunity to speak with our waiter/owner about the Rapid City area and things to do while visiting. This seems to be a very popular take out place, so it can be busy.

Wow - we had conservative expectations for good Indian food in Rapid City, but this was outstanding. We ordered out twice while in town, and got at least 2 meals each from our single-order entrees each time; very good prices for what you get. Chicken tikka masala was amazing, and the naan bread basket (regular, garlic, and cheese versions) was a big hit!

This place was nothing fancy and just a few tables. Doesn’t look like much but the food was outstanding. Dishes are large and too much for one person to eat. Everything we tried was amazing. We tried the lamb samosa, lamb bhuna, chicken paleo, cheese naan and plain naan. Everything was authentic and delicious.

We went there because of its very good reviews and we were not disappointed! The restaurant looks like a hole in the wall but what a hidden gem!!! The food was delicious with very generous portions and quick and friendly service. We ordered Tandoori Mixed Grill as one dish for two of us but could not finish it. All meats and shrimp in that dish had just the right flavor and was juicy and very tasty. Plus it was BYOB, which was an added bonus. Definitely stop by and try them out.

The place is a bit run-down, but the food is wonderful. We had a delicious assortment of appetizers, including pakodas, which were wonderful fritters. The sauces were delicious, one was a fabulous apple cider vinegar based - delicious. The chili chicken was fantastic and the daal (lentils) were quite good and had a nice spice. We were really happy with the dinner and it was pretty inexpensive (less than $50 for two people with appetizers.) The service was fairly average, but the food was definitely above average.

This place was DELICIOUS! They were moderately priced & brought everything I asked for without extra miscellaneous charges that have a typical way of sneaking up at check out. The fair pricing was so welcomed after weeks on the road where I sometimes leave a place feeling nickel & dimed. And what a menu of choices. If I was local, I’d be a regular for sure!!

Chose this restaurant due to the great reviews. Was it bad? No. Was it a great? Sadly, no. Quite disappointing. The food? Chicken soup was full of chicken and served hot in a tasty broth. Great start. Yum. The garlic naan was delightfully full of garlic, served warm. Really good! The tikka sauce was tasty too. Alas, that’s where the accolades end. Main course, mixed grilled, the signature dish according to my server, was served sizzling hot and piled high with food. Wonderful presentation. But, the lamb, chicken leg, and chicken thigh (I think it was a thigh) were overcooked, dry, and not tasty. The veggies were tasty and well-cooked, but the shrimp and cut up chicken, although cooked fine, were quite plain and lacked flavor. Service? Friendly, but slow and not attentive. Hiw so? Tea served lukewarm, not hot. No refill offered. Water glass not refilled. Server got busy talking to a guest at the register as I awaited the check (which is calculated at the register, as it turns out). Reasonable prices. Oddly, the server, who checked me out at the register, closed out the tab and did not give me an opportunity to give her a tip. I thought that maybe the tip had already been included but when I looked at the receipt as I drove off, I saw that there was no tip added. I had high expectations, eat Indian cuisine regularly, and was really looking forward to this dinner. Maybe it was just an off night, at least in part, but if I lived in the area, instead of just passing through, I would not be back anytime soon.

My son has lived in Rapid for a couple years and said this is the best Indian food in town. I always base my view of a place on their Saag. Their Saag was great. It was creamy and just the right spice. The chicken was well flavored and tender. My son got the chicken curry and said it was great. We will have to go back for more!

Highly recommend! It pays to talk to strangers. A fellow patron in an ice cream shop suggested we eat at Everest while in Rapid City for a few days. Portions where huge; had to leave leftovers behind. Except for Naan. So delish. Thankfully we went for an early dinner. By 5:45 all tables were full. Be patient- one young man taking all orders and carry out.

We ordered lamb biryani and lamb korma, along with the naan basket and the paneer pakoda. It was all very tasty! Got it to go and the order was on time. Servings are large enough that four of us ate two meals each from it. A good choice in Rapid City!

Spot on vegetarian food! I did not ask them to make it vegan, but I could have. I took the food to the park and ate it there. I ate here twice!!!! Samosas! Aloo Gobi and Chana Masala were spot on and top notch. This place holds its own against ANY vegetarian Indian cuisine anywhere in the USA!!!

I am a local and while I have dined at Everest many times in the past, I have recently frequented another Indian restaurant. I decided to revisit Everist as most locals feel it’s the best Indian food in Rapid City. The food was good, but I didn’t find it superior to the other local Indian restaurants. The decor is also not as inviting as the others, but that can be forgivable with great food and service. What really struck me was the service, which wasn’t real attentive or friendly. No one was rude, but I had to waive down a server more than once, and the place wasn’t busy. It still remains a good choice for Indian food, and you can do better for an overall pleasing dining experience.

I like to try Indian food in different cities that I visit, and Everest would be in my top 3. So good! I had the chicken tikka masala prepared at a medium spice level and the garlic naan. The medium level of spice was perfect and the garlic naan was excellent as well. Because of COVID restrictions, there was no indoor seating, but it was a nice day and so I took my to-go containers and ate on their small front patio. If ever in Rapid City again, I will definitely make another stop here.

Great spot for gluten-free. Staff was really knowledgeable about what was safe (the papadum might not be safe as it's cooked on the same clay pan as the naan). Oh and did I mention food was fantastic? The sauces... so good. The lamb was nice and tender but the chicken mango with pureed mango might have been the best. Though the saga paneer was really nice, too.
