We visited Rapid City for a week, this was by far the best restaurant we tried. Had the duck appetizer, salad with seafood and the bison steak. All dishes were excellent. Wine list was diversified and reasonably priced. Service was professional and efficient. Note: the...restaurant only serves beer and wine. also went here for breakfast one day, had the eggs benedict which were cooked perfectly, actually harder to get seated for breakfast than dinner.More

I used to love Tally’s. But tonight ordered my usual mushroom appetizer, which used to an amazing blend of different unique mushrooms on toast. Tonight it was your basic cremini mushrooms, and way over sauced which made the bread very soggy. Not at all what...I had in the past. Had pasta carbonara for entree. DO NOT ORDER THIS, unless you like very thick which is under seasoned, and Hugh chunks of bacon. Service was incredibly slow. I used to love this place, will not go there again.More

There's something on the menu for every taste, from meat-&-potatoes to chef-crafted options. The service from Misty was exceptional, & the outside seating made us very happy. We will return here when we're in Rapid City in just a few short weeks!

We are NYC food snobs. That being said, this restaurant, in Rapid City, SD, was one of the best, if not the best, restaurant we have eaten in recently (the last few years). The dishes were very creative, well prepared and delicious. The dessert choices...were a little weird so we stuck with the chocolate (cake?) option, which was wonderful.More

Very interesting menu, not very long but took us more time to decide on appetizer & main course as everything sounded so unusual and delicious! It did not disappoint and wait staff friendly with good verbal descriptions of dishes!

The service was really great and the people friendly. Nothing wrong with the food, but I'd stick to the sandwiches. The gourmet wasn't anything spectacular.

This was the most expensive breakfast of our week long trip, and the second most expensive meal of the trip period. Our son got the chocolate chip pancakes with a side of bacon. Bacon was fine, pancakes were ... meh. Not sure how you accomplish...that...but moving on. My husband got an omelet and I got the sausage biscuit and gravy meal and we shared. Omelet was fine, gravy was ok, biscuit itself had good flavor. Potatoes were all dry. Gravy came out almost cold. Coffee was good. Service was very good.More

Went there because we wanted buffalo burgers. We kindda knew what we were getting into and still stepped into it head first without thinking. Our bad. It wasn't "terrible". We ate it. It was "ok", but hence the problem.. it was "just ok" No burger,...EVER, anywhere, for no reason, should be $20, period. Yep, I know.. I saw it on the menu, I knew the price, I ordered and didn't walk away. That's on me. I was however, expecting more quality or at least something other than average and the norm when a simple basic disk like a burger is priced at $20+ Waitstaff was nice and tried their best. Everything except the drinks was way overpriced. Ok and average at best bison burgers. Good fries though.More

A great breakfast and a short walk from The Mount Rushmore Hotel. My wife had the Breakfast BLT and I had the Breakfast BLT. Our server Linda was friendly and helpful with the menu items. I recommend this for a great breakfast

Recommended by the car rental agent at the airport and did not disappoint. Staff explained all the items on the menu and we were there right as it opened. We did enjoy Happy Hour 2/1 drinks, good parking close by too.

The hostess was charming and told us that our small dog could join us for dinner for outside seating. The weather was lovely and our dog well behaved. Dinner was delicious and service was excellent! The salad was fresh using locally grown produce. Dressings are...homemade and my husband’s honey mustard was outstanding. Our entrees were delicious and beautifully presented. The dessert menu was inspired although we did not indulge. Everyone around us did so and were not disappointed!More

We arrived a few minutes before 2 and were turned away because, as we were told by a young waitress, at 2pm the cooks shut off the grill. Nothing from kitchen between 2 and 5pm. It's a free country, but I think it bad form...to turn away paying customers if they show up within the lunch schedule, albeit at the late stages.More

Hi, That is how I instruct my staff to deal with difficult people. No body wants to see your dumb phone lady. You’re lucky she didn’t break your phone. You’re welcome to come back but I’m not apologizing. -Tally Mgmt
