Looking for really hearty, reliably delicious food? This place is great! The sandwiches, burgers, fries and shakes take you back to the 1960's.

Always go here for brunch on Sunday after church. Pretty familiar with the menu and know exactly what I want to order. It is always good. If you like brunch buffet, there is a good one. They always change it up to make it interesting. My favorite item to order?? The Popeye omelet. Delicious.

No issues, good food, had a large group and were able to feed us all off the menu. I had the #1 eggs over easy with hash browns and sausage

service tends to be slower. food is always hot, but sometimes a little weird. Like, one time I ordered a taco salad and instead of ground taco meat - it was made with chili - it even had beans! The omlets are good, but instead of fresh, real cheese - they use a slice of fake kraft cheese crud. I... More

I was in the mood for "diner food" and a local suggested 2nd Street Clean, comfortable place with a nice menu. They have a soup and salad bar, which is small, but everything looks good. They also serve an original Montecristo sandwich. I had to have the hot roast beef sandwich, which was good. Service was also very good.

Food is always cooked to perfection, atmospher reminds me of a 50's/60's diner. Service is wonderful. Visit many times with family, friends. Day after my Mom passed away we met there, staff ushered us to a private room and took great care of us, giving us excellent service and all the time we needed. Mom always loved their french toast,... More

This diner is average, if that. Prices are pretty high for the quality of food you get. For example, went there for breakfast and there omelette is 8 bucks and only comes with toast or a pancake. If you want to add hash browns it's 2.50; so then your paying 10.50 for a average omelette. Also ordered a small orange... More

My wife and I were passing through Madison on our way to California and called on our grandson to give him a lunch and dinner - and his girlfriend! Our grandson suggested the 2nd Street Diner for lunch and we were glad he did. The three of us (his girlfriend was at courses) had a great lunch. As my wife... More
