Stopped here for an impromptu lunch after visiting the Homestake mine visitor center. We had a group of 18 and everyone found something they liked, and that’s hard to do for my husband and me who are vegetarian. Super friendly staff. Even with a group...of 18, out food was out relatively quickly. It was all warm. My sister had coffee and said it had great flavor. We noticed they had scones and caramel cinnamon buns and came back again 3 days later to get scones and buns. The food here does not disappoint! I was impressed with the caramel bun, very large in size and plenty of caramel on them! We took them to go and heated them up at our rental place. So fantastic! We also got a few of each scone, blueberry, apple, and raspberry with white chocolate. These were a hit as well! Great flavors and lots of fruit in them. I would highly recommend this place for coffee, breakfast, and lunch!More

It’s just ok. The paninis are really just bread and cheese with a bit of protein. Lattes seemed to only be espresso and the flavor wasn’t real prevalent. The staff were very nice snd it was a pleasant experience.

The staff at The Sled Haus suggested Lotus Up for our morning coffee. Drive up only! Slightly disappointed in this only because it looked like a great place to enjoy your Java! But understand as well. Would recommend!

We arrived just as they were closing the very kindly accommodated our coffee desperation with grace, conversation, and humor! This is an adorable stop that I would recommend again and again. The coffee was delicious and very reasonable too and we are somewhat picky coffee...drinkers.More

The Lotus Up was a great breakfast spot for our two mornings in Lead, SD. We had oatmeal, bagels (really nice and light -- fresh!), a huuuuge "fajita" (breakfast wrap), good coffee and cappucinno's. There is outdoor seating overlooking the main street and the gold...mine, as well as indoor seating and a drive through. A bit pricey, but well worth it and we'd go back!More

We come here every time we come to the hills, once or twice a year. This place is amazing I dont say that lightly we owed coffee shops for years. Can not beat this place within 100 miles.

Jamie and her crew at Lotus Up is always so helpful in helping recommend what to eat or drink! I love the fact that they have gluten free bagels, bread, and scones! Their signature sandwiches are awesome! My fave is the Plymouth Rock on gluten...free bread and my kids love their homemade caramel rolls! The view is next to none if you’re up in Lead! You can lookout to the open cut and a playground watching kids play!More

We were just passing through and stopped for coffee. I had a ice mocha which was delicious. Also had a chocolate muffin, also fresh and delicious. Very friendly, accommodating staff. Great view. Very comfortable with several couches to sit at if you don't want to...sit at a table. Perfect!More

It’s small but has fantastic views of the open cut and countryside around Lead, SD. Drive through or sit by the great picture windows. Good coffee, breakfast sandwiches, and smiles all around
