We had a nice homemade meal and a nice experience. The waitress was very accommodating and showed our kids how to make soft serve ice cream cones. She was very hospitable and had no problems letting my husband and I share a meal. They make their own huge cinnamon rolls and pie. I had a wonderful piece of blueberry pie.

Pretty darned good food in a small town cafe environment. My wife had a buffalo steak and I had walleye. Both were well prepared and properly cooked. Service was great - our server was a delightful young Ukranian lady studying English in college. She spent summers working in the United States to improve her skills and was extending this stint... The food was average, the service wasn't that good. The waitress paid more attention to the local guys, didn't really service us at all unless we asked, i.e. more coffee, can I get you anything else, etc. I won't go back.

I went with a tour bus and we could pick where we ate. We decided to eat here! We hit the jackpot! Everything was great, service could have been better, other than that, I think I would plan on going there is you are in the area!

Our first meal in the Mt. Rushmore area and it was just okay. I had the walleye and it was way overcooked but they made me another one that was edible so that was nice. My husband had the hamburger steak which was okay, overcooked, but okay. The sides were claimed to all from scratch but the potatoes tasted like... More

We stopped by there one evening after a long day of sightseeing.. I realize that it is a little off season.. the place was a mess, dirty dishes.. only two waiters.. they were busy but isn't that what they want? We were told to sit at a table that had dirty dishes.. they cleaned and waited on two other tables... More

We stopped in there about 20 mins before they closed. They were the only place in town that was open, as we came back from Sturgis and Deadwood. The employees could have treated us badly, because we got there so late. They were fantastic, very friendly. The food was good and we were very grateful for the friendly atmosphere. Thanks

Our server was very courteous and friendly. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I ate the pork chop dinner and my husband had a cheeseburger. It was very good, but a bit more than we could eat, so we look forward to eating the rest of it later.

Thank Caroline N
