Flight attendant told us about Alpine on our way to Rapid City. Menu was larger than she described -- a pasta dish in addition to the medium or large bacon-wrapped filet. Includes salad and potato. Food is excellent. Come early if you don't want to drink in bar waiting for table. Beautiful European decor and artwork in this small tourist... More

The RV park recommended Alpine and they were right! They only have two items on menu steak or spaetzel. It is simple but best ever! Quick friendly service! You get baked potatoe and lettuce wedge with steak. The dessert menu has lots of homemade options. Alcohol is served.

We have had good meals in the past at the Alpine Inn but on the evening of August 25th, we were disappointed. The steak was thin and the baked potato was small and overcooked beyond the point that butter or sour cream could remedy. But the desserts saved the evening and they alone are worth the trip. Consider this a... More

The food is what i was expecting going in. You get a 6-9oz steak a wedge salad with ranch and a baked potato. The meal was decent for $12. There is an hour wait to get in but they have beer and wine to drink while you wait make sure to bring cash that is all they take. no whisky... More

I did not grasp ahead of time how a place can only offer two items and still get a crowd to line up for an hour before they open. I do now. Oh, my...it was great. The service is so good. The food is incredible. I did have the large prime rib and it was cooked perfect. No sauce needed... More

We got to town not knowing about the BBQ, wine and beer festival. Arrived at the inn for dinner and thought the wait would be long but the hostess running the seating was on her game and she had us in with in the 40 minutes they quoted. The menu is limited for dinner but always excellent, the dessert menu... More

We had to wait over an hour for a table at 7pm. The menu choice is-no choice, steak or steak. Whilst the steak was good the baked potato and texas toast that came with it were average-some veggies would have been a nice addition. The cobb and dressing were okay, not amazing. The lighting in the restaurant is very low,... More

This was recommended by our hotel, and it was interesting. We waited for about 30 minutes and were surprised by the limited choices on the menu. We had a good steak and salad at a reasonable price. It is very popular because of this.

There are two choices on the dinner menu - steak or steak! (6 or 9 oz) This was one of the best steaks I've had (especially for the money). Even the wedge of iceberg lettuce that comes with it had super good dressing! They only take cash but there is an ATM there. If you're in Hill City, GO!

Very clever / limit the menu to only three items / lettuce wedge, steak, and some weird noodle veggie mix / quick decisions get those tourists processed quickly in and out in a hurry / turn those tables! But that bacon wrapped filet was awesome! Perfection on a plate. Wanted another one. Fast service and good price Other dish OK... More
