This place is terrible. Six of us went for lunch. We did not have time for breakfast so all were really hungry. They were not busy at the time, but it still took ages to get service. Very bad service, but the worst was yet...More

My husband and I went for lunch. We waited for awhile to get anyone to acknowledge us. He ordered the steak sandwich and I got pulled pork. We waited forever for the food. When it came the steak was all fat and over cooked. The...More

I wrote this review while my wife was tending to my 12yr old puking. 3/5 of my family suffered apparent food poisoning after eating here. Horrible food and high prices. The service was the worst I've ever seen in a restaurant. Avoid this place.

We had nachos, nice waitresses, nice scenery, affordable. Nachos are enough for at least two adults for lunch or maybe one hungry adult for supper. People can smoke on the outside patio where everyone can eat. Might be nice for the smokers but not so...More

First off, the place is kind of gross if you sit inside. There was no place to sit outside, so the family and I grabbed a table in the basement. One of the workers was playing pool instead of working!!! When we sat down we...More

The staff here was lovely and the location was great. Facility was interesting but the food left a lot to be desired. I may have not been as critical if I'd only ordered an appetizer but as it was, my sandwich was tepid at best...More

The best things about this place are its name and how the place looks from the outside. We wandered in here because we saw a billboard on the highway that indicated this place had Mexican food. I can't by any means support some of their...More

Description
Mangy Moose has been owned and operated by a single woman for over 20 years. We spent those years becoming the best bar in the southern hills, and offered your typical bar menu of burgers and appetizers. We have grown to a place that sells burgers, Mexican food and a great ribeye steak on the outdoor grill. Our cooking facilities are minimal and it is sometimes difficult to keep up with the high volume of hungry customers. Our food is good and most things are made fresh from scratch, but we have the most square footage on the block and a lot of steps to get food and drinks for the hundreds and hundreds of people that stop by each day. We love to have you visit the Mangy Moose and have a good time, but if you are in a hurry... you may sometimes be disappointed in the wait. There is usually live entertainment on the outside stage to enjoy, with a full liquor bar. Please keep in mind that we are doing the best we can with the facilities and staff that we have. We are a BAR with a limited menu, that happens to sell food, and not a RESTAURANT that sells alcohol. Everything on our menu is good and we have specialty foods that you can't get at any ordinary restaurant. If you are in a hurry and looking for a large menu, we are probably not what you are looking for. But if you are looking for a great place to sit on the outdoor patio and people watch, or a great place to enjoy a cocktail, a beer, or a glass of wine and have a bite to eat... you won't be disappointed.
