Planned our SD trip a year in advance. Found the advertisement for Prairie Berry Winery in the excellent "South Dakota Vacation Guide" as we studied it. So glad we put this place on our itinerary. Perfect location - morning at Crazy Horse - lunch at Prairie Berry and afternoon at Mt Rushmore. And all within easy driving distance of each... More

We stopped at the winery and did a wine tasting. Very good, it was complimentary and the employees were very informative, gave a history of each wine we tasted with plenty to pick from. Ended up buying the rhubarb wine, excellent fruity wine.

Prairie Berry Winery is a beautiful new building and you are greeted instantly and asked to join in the wine sampling. You could choose five wines to sample out of many many different wines and there was also a table with jams and jellies to sample. They had a restaurant to order lunch from which we did one day and... More

What a great find! On a previous trip to SD, I had the pleasure of trying Red XXX Rhubarb wine by Prairie Berry. So, it was only fate that we happened to drive by the winery on our most recent trip. We spent some time wandering around and doing a tour on our own. Staff was wonderful! I only wish... More

My wife loves wine so we stopped in because of the great reviews and we were not disappointed. We had a older gentlemen helping us and he was awesome. This place is a very friendly place to visit. We bought a couple bottles.

SUCH a quaint little surprise visit. I love the area and the wine tasting experience was EXCELLENT. I believe it was Cathy who served our tasting, she was so fun and generous, very knowledgeable of the wine. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone ... very impressed! I would recommend that it be a sit-down-service versus a quick... More

What a nice experience. Very good place to eat and drink. Nice wine but many are ver sweet. Sweet seems to be the taste of the area though. But still they were very good.

The winery has a very nice patio looking out into the hills. Very quaint and cozy. We had a late dinner after a long day of touring so I appreciated the light menu. Had a glass of wine with dinner as well. I would recommend both the food and wine - oh and the soup I had was delicious!

Thank Janet P
