We enjoyed a wine tasting and talking with the friendly staff. We were happy to order some food - chili and a BLT. Both were pretty good.

This was our third visit to the Prairie Berry for lunch. They weren’t as busy as we’ve seen it before, they were out of glasses for the water, it took two people to finally get a glass for some water to go with our lunch....More

We stopped for Wine Tasting - a very fun experience. Ordered lunch and found a quiet spot on the patio. My wife had Turkey Sandwich and I had Corned Sandwich. Both sandwiches were excellent. We shared bowl of Wild Rice Soup - much lighter than...More

This winery and eating establishment was in a nice setting up on a hill with a big rock as a side. The winery looked fun but I didn’t do any wine testings. We had dinner there two nights in a row because we liked it...More

We ate lunch. I had a chicken salad sandwich which was ok but strange. Granddaughter had the potato soup, she didn't like it so I tried it and it was very grainy and mushy. Prices for food are overpriced and not worth what is paid....More

This is the coolest place to walk through and have a bite to eat. I am not a fan of wines from different fruits but some of the fruit wines were not too bad. The Red A** Rhubarb was interesting. The crew was extremely friendly...More

We stopped in to taste the wine, and it was nearly all fruit wine (not from grapes). We are not fans of fruit wine. The few wines made from grapes are just ok, and I would never pay the asking price. Facility is nice.

Ronald, Great question, and it looks like there have been several great answers already! Most of our wines range in price from $14 to $25, although some of the wines available exclusively to our wine club members and those... More

Experience our award-winning wines in a fun and relaxed setting in the heart of the Black Hills. Find us three miles northwest of Hill City on Highway 385, just a few miles from Mount Rushmore National Memorial and Crazy Horse Memorial. We’re Hill City’s only working winery and Sandi Vojta, our fifth generation winemaker, handcrafts each wine, often using old family recipes, just a few steps from our Tasting Room. Start your Prairie Berry Winery experience with a free wine tasting of up to five of our award-winning wines, including our Anna Pesä handcrafted traditional European wines, at our Tasting Bars. We produce a variety of wines in styles for every palate – from crisp, dry wines and robust, oak-aged reds to sweet, fruity varieties. Our Kitchen offers housemade menu items including gluten-free, vegetarian and kids’ options. Menu selections pair perfectly with our wines, vary with the season and many of our ingredients are sourced locally. Enjoy a meal on our patio with our beautiful views of Black Elk Peak (formerly Harney Peak). Our brewery, Miner Brewing Company, is located next door.
