My wife and I have been going to Deadwood for 25 years + and. Enjoy it every time A1200 mile trip from southern Indiana, We love all the shops, history of the town , nice people, and Bodega Bar. Was seated and got water, waitress walked by 5 times and didn't even ask if we wanted a drink. We asked the family of 3 How long they waited they said 40 minutes for what looked like a simple pulled pork sandwich and salad , and burger. Other waitresses walked by so we left never to return. 😠

I can't complain about this place, but it wasn't anything special. If I recall correctly, I believe they used Sweet Baby Rays barbeque sauce. I would have really liked to have something the featured regional ingredients. Sweet Baby Rays is good, but I can get that at home. We were hungry and the food satisfied the hunger, but it wasn't... It might boast to be Deadwood's Oldest Bar but the food leaves a lot to be desired. In truth we weren't expecting gourmet dishes - the bar/restaurant is too busy and packed with tourists and the ethos seems to be pack them in, serve them quick and get ready to fill the table as soon as they move on. The... More

Poor service, hostess was rude and did not have time for us. No one smiled, no welcome, I could not believe it. Been there before and something has changed. Great bar!

Arrived at this restaurant at 9:40 PM. We didn't realize they closed at 10 PM. We ordered dinner, it arrived and we were very disappointed. The pulled pork in my sandwich was so dry and unflavored that I seriously was unable to eat it. My husband tasted it and described it as a cotton ball. Our server was wonderful and... More

Looked like a good place to eat. Stopped in had a few drinks and decided to order some dinner. My wife's burger was great. But the chicken strips were not that great, about the size of chicken nuggets from McDonald's. Extremely dissapointed. And only got 3 with the dinner. Way overpriced. Will not go back.

We had lunch here on 7/13. The hostess was so rude I couldn't believe it. No greeting, no smile, no 'how are you doing today', just a blank stare. I wanted to leave, but didn't want to walk through the whole restaurant again! We've never been treated like that at a restaurant. Thank heavens our server was friendly and polite!... More
