The burgers are great. Small restaurant off the beaten path in the hills. Great place to stop when out for a drive, atv riding or on the way back from ski slopes. Call ahead and they will have it ready for you.

You just can't go wrong at this place. Excellent burgers, nice outdoor seating and eating area in the summer and inexpensive. If you're driving 385 or just want to get out of town to eat, hit 'em up!

Recommended highly by the Wonderland Cave staff as having the best burgers in the Black Hills area, we stopped after touring the cave. Servers were very friendly and our burgers were delicious. A very relaxed atmosphere. Dine outside or in.

We simply love these burgers! We live in Phoenix and have access to some great burger joints. Sugar Shack is as good as it gets. I got the Swiss, mushroom, onions and green peppers. Everything is sautéed and cooked perfectly. If you're in the Black Hills this place is a must.

Very good burgers in a very casual environment. We ate outside. It was a gorgeous evening and we enjoyed it. If you have trouble with stairs, you should be aware that the restrooms are in the basement, and the steps are steep.

This is legit the most fantastic burger you can get your hands on. The place may not look like much from the outside (or the inside for that matter) but you will not be disappointed with your heavenly beefy sandwich! If you're questioning whether to stop for lunch-- don't. Just do it, man. DO IT.

This place is not in Deadwood. Maybe it has a Deadwood address because that is the nearest post office. It is about half-way between Deadwood and Mt Rushmore along hwy-385. A previous review said, "The only caveat is that the only restrooms are a pair of porta-potties in the parking lot." That was not the case the day we visited.... More

We always stop here when down in the Hills. We always have the Sugar Burger and with fries. You had better be darn hungry as they are big and lots of fries. You can sit inside or sit outside under the canopy. They are closed Mondays so plan around that.

The outdoor dining, and the proximity to so much that most folks want to see makes this a stop you have to make. The only caveat is that the only restrooms are a pair of porta-potties in the parking lot. This wouldn't be that bad if they had been serviced recently. As it was, you held your breathe and made...
