The food was good and the staff was very friendly and attentive. This place is definitely a hole in the wall, and is worth the stop! My husband got the Kraut Burger and said it was one of the best burgers he has ever had.

Stopped in on our way to go 4 wheeling at Mystic, sat outside at a picnic table. This place isn't fancy but dang the burgers are good. Toasted buns make all the difference. There was a trailer parked next to the building selling the best dang ice cream we have ever had.

Stopped at the sugar shack to grab some burgers after we set out some trail cams! Very impressed! Service was fast and pleasant, and the food was amazing! Will definitely be going back for more:)

This place is close to many trails so you can stop in and grab a delicious burger. Also it's on the way to Mt Rushmore. Hand made patties and grilled buns, doesn't get much better than that! It's the little things really!

The Sugar Shack has the best burgers, if you go away hungry then it's your own fault! The serve 3 squares a day!! During bike week their set up is the best. If you are in the area stop on in for a great burger & great staff!!

We get to the hills quite often thankfully. This little hole in the wall is my favorite! We stopped here a few years ago and I tried the chili dog and I was hooked! It's my guilty pleasure! I feel like a kid again! Big beefy hot dog under some damn fine chili, raw onions, cheese and mustard ugh! And... More

Not a lot of choices along this stretch of 385. Have been here more than once in the same day when out playing in the hills! Good, consistent breakfast and burgers. Can get busy, especially on the weekends during summer months.

If you want ambiance, forget it. This is not your place! If you want delicious food, more than you can eat and just a fun place, stop here! It doesn't look like much, but the parking lot was full! I got a 1/4 pounder with mushrooms and cheese. Now, this 1/4 pounder was a REAl 1/4 pound. The mushrooms absolutely... More

We stopped at the Sugar Shack on our trail ride for a late lunch and were not disappointed. The burgers are big and juicy. The fries are amazing. We liked it so much we went back the next night for dinner. Can't wait to come back next year for a visit.

The burgers are great. Small restaurant off the beaten path in the hills. Great place to stop when out for a drive, atv riding or on the way back from ski slopes. Call ahead and they will have it ready for you.
