We eat at Mountain View a couple of times a year and have never been disappointed! My favorite is the fried flounder - it is the best around! I don't know how they do it, but the breading it just right and it is not greasy at all. Our party of 4 each got a baked potato and they were... More

Nothing fancy here, just expertly prepared standard restaurant fare. My favorites: prime ribs, stuffed flounder, and fried oysters. Feature angus beef but something for everyone including chicken dishes and even lasagna. Only open 4 evenings a week, I've been here early to see local women dropping off their homemade deserts. My favorite-12 layer chocolate cake. Friendly staff, a place where neighbors... More

We go here more often than all other local restaurants combined. Great-grandma, grandma, grandad, bros, wives, and cousins all agree... you can't find a better filet in NY or Chi-town. Thanks Bobby

We were camping at Devils fork and looking for a meal out. First of all, no alcohol here. Wish we had known that. Meal was ok, but more like a diner. Although the prices were more like a nicer restaurant. My stuffed shrimp was tasteless. Fries were frozen crinkle cut. Total lack of ambience and no attempt at decor. The... More

Great food, good service. A good local family restaurant. Only open on the weekends. We have eaten there several times and all the meals have been good.

We visited this restaurant on a Lake Jocassee trip with family and friends. This restaurant is sort of out in the boonies but it is a hidden gem. The atmosphere is very casual and the décor is outdated but the food makes up for that. We ordered shrimp, ribeye, sirloin, and prime rib. Everyone enjoyed their choices. It was the... More

While this restaurant is located several miles from town, it is definitely worth the drive! It has awesome seafood, especially their pan-seared flounder and their ribeye steak is to die for! Service is always great, too!

I have to agree, they have great food, great hospitality, but the decoration advance given in other comments could be taken seriously.

Stuffed shrimp was amazing. Husband said steak was really good. The dining room could use some decorating but the tasty food made up for it

We eat here often. The food is always good & the service is great. We love the jumbo shrimp & grits. The desserts are very good as well.
