So we thought the food was great at the location in Surfiside Beach, SC! We loved it so much we went back a 2nd time except we went to the one in North Myrtle and it was not the same! The portion sizes were smaller and definitely liked the potato salad and chicken salad, better at the Surfside location. We were disappointed a second go round, and would not revisit the North Myrtle Beach location.

I have been to Dagwoods many times over the past 13 years and have NEVER been disappointed. The atmosphere is casual with a personal tv at your table and 80's rock music playing in the background. If you enjoy outdoor dining, there are unique covered table swings. But, I come for the food and the fish and chips are my favorite. My husband likes the shrimp philly . The soups and coleslaw taste fresh and home-made.I have visited restaurants where the waitress has admitted that the sausage gravy is from a can. White sauce (sausage gravy) is very easy to make and I really do not have a need to visit a restaurant that simply heats from a can or uses frozen Gordon's Fish fillets from the grocery store. Dagwoods seems like the real deal to me. I hope that they keep on, keeping on.

First time eating at Dagwood's in Surfside. Ate here when they first opened in Myrtle Beach numerous years ago. I think the location in Surfside is an old Shoney's building renovated into a sports bar and grill. When I walked in, the hostess greeted me with a smile and seated me in front of a TV on the Golf channel. Perfect!! The waitress greeted me, ordered my drink and upon delivering to my table, took my order. I chose the Lynn Swann sandwich, with Roast beef, Turkey and cheese, served with potato salad and pickle. It was delicious. So much food, that I had to ask for a to-go box. The restaurant looked clean and saw all employees wiping down tables and bar areas. Typical bar with numerous TV's to watch all sports. This place was packed and hard to find a parking place, so get there early. Will return!!

Excellent food. We had the shrimp platters with fries and coleslaw. The 8 jumbo shrimp were fried to perfection and the fries were crispy. The coleslaw was tasty. The prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was welcoming. The music was at the right level; not too loud so we could hear each other without shouting . There is a wide variety of food on the menu, so we will need to come back to try one of their many deli sandwiches.

First time visitor, a lot of tvs, everywhere. Quite loud too. We wanted to get a bite for lunch. Ordered the pub chips. They were okay, some were not cooked all the way. Waitress said the southwestern egg rolls were good. They were okay. The dough was really thicker than I like. The avocado ranch was not good. Asked for regular ranch and they charged me .49 cents. 😵💫. Hubby got a sandwich with pasta salad. The side cup was about 2-3 oz condiment cup and the salad wasn’t good at all. May try it again in a few months.

We came in for dinner time and were seated promptly. Our server, Harley, took our drink orders as we perused the menu. For entrées we both ordered the 1/2 lb cheeseburgers with fries. They arrived hot, super tasty and a very ample serving. We will return.

An employee from Wyndham said his favorite eating place was Dogwood and we went once and it was so good we went again 2 days later with an additional guest. Food and service were terrific and the manager was absolutely most helpful. We ate several places but Dogwoods was the top.

Awesome little sports bar with tasty food and old-school tavern feel. This is an awesome choice for either a quick and easy family dinner, fun date night, or hangout with friends. The overall atmosphere and decor felt like it hadn’t been changed in a long time, which I loved. The famous Dagwood burger was easily one of the best restaurant burgers I’ve ever had. Didn’t have to wait long at all to get seated, where if you go 15 minutes down the street to all of the overly popular, fancy places you have to wait at least a couple hours and the food isn’t nearly as good. Highly recommend Dagwood’s!

Our group of 5 all ordered sandwiches and sides. French dip, pastrami, and steak sandwiches all excellent! Loved them loaded with cheese. Ordered appetizers of mushrooms, cheese sticks, fried pickles and onion rings and they were all perfectly cooked. Service was great and prices fair.
Don't think I've ever seen a menu with so many sandwich choices.
Highly recommend!

Dagwood’s has made my list of places we will eat at each time we come to the beach. The food was great, the service was even better. They even took note of my adult son’s blindness and autism and made a point to ask him for his order. That almost never happens. Kudos to the staff. Thank you.

Food was delicious but I wasn't prepared for how loud the space would be with so many sports fans watching games intensely from the multitude of televisions (a warning for those with sensory issues). Be prepared to hear lots of choice words should you have children as sports enthusiasts here are passionate about coaching from the sidelines. Service was very slow but food was good

We stopped by for a late lunch, pretty crowded. The service was good, we had the pastrami sandwich with fries, corned beef sandwich with fries, order of pretzels, the food was good. Also a few beers, plenty of parking.

Busy place, but staff is very good at keeping things moving. Enjoyed a turkey Rueben and husband had a corned beef Rueben the corned beef was melt in your mouth tender. French fries were good also.

We go there often since we're locals (second time this week already) and the food is not bad but service today was even worse than usual. I asked for diet Pepsi and was given coke but never got a refill. When I asked if it was coke or Pepsi the server just laughed as she walked away and said Coke. She knew she had deceived me and didn't care if I liked it or not!!!
If you don't like a smoky place don't eat outside.

We were looking for a sports bar to be able to watch the Thursday Night Football game with the Buffalo Bills. We settled on Dagwood's, and we were very glad we did. The hostess seated us at a table with a huge TV right next to us, which started the night on the right foot. The menu, while consisting of mostly sandwiches, is huge. One person in our party opted for the "Make Your Own Sandwich" where you select everything you want on your sandwich. She did this because she didn't think she could eat a regular size sandwich. Well, she couldn't finish this one, either. Again, huge. I ordered the grilled mahi and it was terrific.
We will be adding Dagwood's as a regular stop in future visits to Myrtle Beach.
