One of the locals favorite places Dagwoods has and expansive menu and the food is top notch and priced reasonably. We usually try and stop there as a group for lunch after our golf league and the service is always top notch.....Very crowded for lunch and for sporting events....You can't go wrong at Dagwoods!

We love Dagwoods and make sure we eat here when we visit Surfside Beach every year. They opened seating this week and I believe it is only first come first serve at this time, no reservations. There was a crowd waiting outside to be seated at 7PM on Friday eve. We ordered take out and our order was ready by the time I drove up from Murrells Inlet. I had the Hail Mary Dipper and the wife had the Dagwood Dipper and they were wonderful.

Happy hour 4-7. $2 bud lights. 10 wings $8.50 includes celery and blue cheese and they were delicious. We got the Dagwood burger $12. 12 ounces of beef, bacon, shrooms, cheese, loaded, enough for 2. Fries and slaw included. All that and 6 beers $36. Saw a shrimp boat that looked awesome. Great service, very friendly. I heard their fish and chips are great so gotta go back. Loved this place!

Read my past reviews of Dagwoods. I was a loyal customer. My reviews of their tuna sandwich were 5 star. What happened?! This is the 2nd (and last time) I’ve ordered my former favorite sandwich since March of this year- tuna on white toast and all I can say Is one bite was enough. Both times. I know there’s Covid but whatever you’ve done to that sandwich- PLEASE go back. The changes make this just another fishy , over mayo tasting below average sandwich. This was a tough one for me to write but I’m doing this praying you
FIX IT. That WAS the best sandwich I ever had. And now....it’s in my garbage.

My wife and I enjoyed a Turkey Reuben and an 8 oz burger with fries and a pickle. The food came out in a timely manner and was hot and super tasty. Our waitress, Kambrea, kept us in plenty of water and was very attentive. We had to wait maybe 15 minutes for seating due to social distancing but Dagwoods is definitely worth the wait.

You feel like you're family and friends when you walk in to Dagwoods!
The staff make sure you feel welcome and quite attentive.
The BEST Fried Shrimp Basket I have had in the Surf Side area ...NO JOKE !
The deli sandwiches, and seafoods are fresh , great portions and served with great style and pride. The bar service and bartenders are fantastic and keep you entertained and interested . The selection of Beer, liquor ,and wine is immense and priced well. Happy hour prices are even better....
This has become a regular hangout for us now that we have a place here in Surf Side Beach . Try it ...I promise you will love it !

We had a party of 15. They seated us rather quickly considering the size of our party. Service was great.
The food was average at best. The burgers had no flavor and appeared to be pre-made frozen patties. The chicken fritters, fish and chips and shrimp baskets all had a large portion but were nothing special.
Lots of TVs to watch sporting events. Good overall atmosphere

Excellent food. We had the shrimp platters with fries and coleslaw. The 8 jumbo shrimp were fried to perfection and the fries were crispy. The coleslaw was tasty. The prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was welcoming. The music was at the right level; not too loud so we could hear each other without shouting . There is a wide variety of food on the menu, so we will need to come back to try one of their many deli sandwiches.

We go there often since we're locals (second time this week already) and the food is not bad but service today was even worse than usual. I asked for diet Pepsi and was given coke but never got a refill. When I asked if it was coke or Pepsi the server just laughed as she walked away and said Coke. She knew she had deceived me and didn't care if I liked it or not!!!
If you don't like a smoky place don't eat outside.

Their patio with swinging tables allows us to take our little dogs to dinner with us. The sandwiches are awesome (love that Turkey Rueben), try the Pub Chips but watch out for the heat in the chili if you are not a fan of HOT. Staf was super, order was spot on and the price is a great value. We will return often while in town.

Our group of 5 all ordered sandwiches and sides. French dip, pastrami, and steak sandwiches all excellent! Loved them loaded with cheese. Ordered appetizers of mushrooms, cheese sticks, fried pickles and onion rings and they were all perfectly cooked. Service was great and prices fair.
Don't think I've ever seen a menu with so many sandwich choices.
Highly recommend!

First time eating at Dagwood's in Surfside. Ate here when they first opened in Myrtle Beach numerous years ago. I think the location in Surfside is an old Shoney's building renovated into a sports bar and grill. When I walked in, the hostess greeted me with a smile and seated me in front of a TV on the Golf channel. Perfect!! The waitress greeted me, ordered my drink and upon delivering to my table, took my order. I chose the Lynn Swann sandwich, with Roast beef, Turkey and cheese, served with potato salad and pickle. It was delicious. So much food, that I had to ask for a to-go box. The restaurant looked clean and saw all employees wiping down tables and bar areas. Typical bar with numerous TV's to watch all sports. This place was packed and hard to find a parking place, so get there early. Will return!!

We stopped by for dinner, the place was busy, nice crowd. We started with the soft pretzels, with mustard and cheese, they were ok. We ordered the pastrami hot sandwich on rye with cheese and mustard, corned beef on rye with mustard and cheese, both were really good, a few beers and a nice meal. Plenty of parking, lots of TV's, outside seating, good staff.

So we thought the food was great at the location in Surfiside Beach, SC! We loved it so much we went back a 2nd time except we went to the one in North Myrtle and it was not the same! The portion sizes were smaller and definitely liked the potato salad and chicken salad, better at the Surfside location. We were disappointed a second go round, and would not revisit the North Myrtle Beach location.

Awesome little sports bar with tasty food and old-school tavern feel. This is an awesome choice for either a quick and easy family dinner, fun date night, or hangout with friends. The overall atmosphere and decor felt like it hadn’t been changed in a long time, which I loved. The famous Dagwood burger was easily one of the best restaurant burgers I’ve ever had. Didn’t have to wait long at all to get seated, where if you go 15 minutes down the street to all of the overly popular, fancy places you have to wait at least a couple hours and the food isn’t nearly as good. Highly recommend Dagwood’s!
