The employees are very friendly and the restaurant was clean. The menu is limited, which is fine because they focus on their specialty. The pork bbq was tasty, the hush puppies were fine, but the other sides are lackluster. Fries have been undercooked the two...times we went here, Mac and cheese is bland and overall sides are few and boring.More
We chose Carolina Barbecue from Trip Advisor, in order to meet friends coming from the opposite direction. So glad we did! Our server was just adorable: super friendly, and always there when we needed her. The prices were more than fair, and then when the...food came, WOW! The smoked meats were delicious, the sides were extra great (cole slaw, onion rings, baked beans, mac and cheese and more) and we even got hush puppies before and during lunch. This little place that we might never have found is a gem we'll return to.More
Great food and service! Bus of 44 people and Katilyn and Asia kept a smile and gave the best service. Kudos kitchen crew..food was hot and delicious. Thumbs up to the onion rings too.

This restaurant has a delicious selection of bar-b-que and sides. Service is exceptionally friendly and efficient. Definitely will visit here again!

Fantastic pulled pork. The sides are excellent. Make sure to get the red BBQ slaw. I have been a dozen times and the food is always exactly what I am craving and expecting, Every waitress there is always always always friendly and helpful.
Six friends and I had lunch here yesterday and everything was delicious! We all ordered something different and each item was wonderful. Our waitress was Lynn and she was superb too! We are all planning on returning in the near future.
Me and my dad were passing through on our way from North Carolina back to Georgia. We googled "bbq near me" and it was the first to pop up and it said "voted best by Southern Living". It definitely deserves that award. The ribs were...perfect and hit the spot. The service was outstanding. Our waitress, Ke'Asia Anderson, was the sweetest and cutest lil thing... my dad had to compliment her smile before she could even tell us hello lol Whenever we make another Carolina trip this will definitely be a mandatory stop.More
Not sure what happened to this place. The food is NOTHING like it was under the old owners. From the fries, baked beans and the BBQ pork. No flavor, small portions and barely warm. Dining in used to mean a super friendly staff and a...clean place to eat. Not anymore. Always understaffed, dirty tables and floors. Price have increased but flavor and portions have decreased. What a shame, this truly was the BEST BBQ in a large area. Last visit in May 2022 for take-out (5 minute home, food was cold, no smokey taste and soggy) will be our last. This has become typical of when we have dined in or take-out. Unless there are new managers or owners soon, I don't see this place making it very long. What a shame.More
Simple, no fuss place with great barbecue and great service! Simple as that. We were passing through town--played a gig at Upstate University--and wanted lunch. We knew pulling into the parking lot it was going to be good from the aroma in the air, and...we were not disappointed. Most of us had the classic pork plate, one had a half chicken. All good! Ask for the hot sauce! (Some might like the Cheerwine sauce, though I did not care for it.) Great hushpuppies and sweet tea too, and priced nice! Good service. Good food. Good stop!More

My nephew and I went here today because we saw a sign that said best BBQ in upstate sc. We were highly disappointed to say the least. We got brisket and ribs, and brisket and Brunswick stew. Well as soon as they brought it out...you could see it was reheated. Very Very BAD!!! Did not finish the food. We didn't even ask for a to go box. I called when we left and ask for a manager, which was a guy named mike. Although he was nice, he did not deny the fact the food was reheated. I told him i have been cooking BBQ for almost 20 yrs. and if we would have known it was reheated and not fresh BBQ we would have left right then. VERY VERY VERY DISSAPOINTED.More
