Renato is invested in making his guests happy. Food is always good. Can be pricey so watch your ordering if that's an issue.

Living in Europe for almost fifteen years, it was an unbelievable treasure to find such authenic, freshly prepared Italian cuisine in Spartanburg. Sitting outdoors and watching the comings and goings, while eating outstanding food....it doesn't get much better!

Found this restaurant looking for a place for lunch in downtown Spartanburg. I was not expecting such a classy place. I was told there was a "no hat" policy which threw me a bit since I wasn't expecting it. I was surprised they didn't ask me to wear a dinner jacket or something. The art on the walls was very... We went for our 10th anniversary. We called ahead for reservations and when we got there were told we had to eat outside. Normally I love eating outside but it was very hot. I asked if we could sit I side as the resturant eas empty. I was told they only have 4 top tables left and no more 2... More

The chef knows what they are doing. The flavors in all of the food was fantastic. I was hoping for good spaghetti but what I got was way better. I know it's hard to screw up spaghetti but trust me I've been to enough places to know that it's possible a majority of the time to do so. My husband... More

This was our first experience at the new location for Renatos. We ate during Wofford graduation weekend so the menu was fixed price for all. It was a very good value and the food was excellent. The pasta and tenderloin were especially good, as was the canolli. The wine list is also a good value.

A recent sojourn to the American South took us to Spartanburg, S.C. where we enjoyed a marvelous Italian lunch at Renato in Centro. Clearly, residents in “The Upcountry” of South Carolina are in touch with their Inner Italians. They’ve enjoyed Chef Renato Marmolino’s tastes of Italy in Spartanburg for 24 years. In restaurant terms, that span is several lifetimes. Seated... More

Went to lunch this afternoon and was greeted politely by the hostess who made sure there was a place to keep wet umbrellas away from the table and out of the way. The server was polite and very attentive. He brought refills before there was a need to look for him to ask for more and served the food properly...not... More
