Nu Way has some seriously tasty food and the service is pretty amazing for a "hole in the wall". I love the owner Becky too, she has some awesome hospitality. I have been here often because the food is just so good. My favorite is the redneck burger with cajan fries. I have been to a lot of burger joints... More

My wife and I were going to Spartanburg so we decided to eat there and found Nu-Way Lounge & Restaurant, we weren't shocked when we found it because we read the reviews. You walk in it's kind of dark, but maybe because it was so sunny outside, we sat at a table or you can go to the bar and... More

Met up with locals who recommended this "burger dive," if you love local dives with great food this is your place. There were five of us and we all had burgers and hand cut fries. Our burgers were your classic flat grill greasy spoon in style...and delicious. The atmosphere is pure bar and the decor reflects it. Our server was... More

So I've heard about this place before. Our family drove 45 minutes to try it out. Ambiance? Um, no. (Some might even call it a dive.) A line out the door at 2:00 on a Saturday afternoon? Yeah. Lots of folks obviously knew one another. Friendly staff? Sure. The food: Oh. My. Gosh. Without question, the best Pattie Melt I've... More

It is a neighborhood establishment, not too fancy....but effective. The beer is reasonable, burgers are good and there are bands to entertain you. Try the redneck burger - you won't be sorry.

This is a small bar with some food and load music, the biggest appeal is that they have live bands. The drinks and draft beers are OK. you can go with friends and get something to eat (not really a restaurant with drinks) more of a bar with food. Good atmosphere and the staff is on the ball. You get... More

We stopped in for lunch with the family. This is a great bar but they also have great food. There was 12 of us and we were luck to grab some tables and put them together. We are greeted right away, the service was very good as always. we ordered a variety of items, onion rings, redneck burger (my favorite),... More

The food was great. It was a Saturday night & we were with a group of 12 or so. We had one waiter for the group who took drink orders from 1 table, brought them back & then went to the next table. It was over an hour before he took our food order. I'm thinking maybe he had to... More

My wife and I recently moved to Spartanburg, SC, from Ohio, and during our first week here we visited the Nu-Way for dinner one evening. I had lived in Spartanburg approximately 30-years ago, and I visited the Nu-Way often then, and not much had changed in the décor… it is not a show place, just a bar that serves really... More

A dive with the best "Redneck cheeseburger" in town and a surprising number of good beers on tap. people have used Tripadvisor as a way to say the Chick Fil A is one of the best restaurants in town while the Nu Way isn't even on the list. It's awful!
