Blandness in a clean environment

The pork is alright, but everything else is as bland as could be imagined. The chicken was some bizarre, poached cube meat with a sprinkle of paprika, and the hash was some pablum thing. We tried the whole gamut, out of respect, but nahhhhh. Icks.

This is not the place to enjoy dinner or any kind of food. The buffet looked horrible and the rack of ribs were terrible....kids running all over the restaurant

We first had Brushy Creek BBQ years ago for an event someone had catered. We were very hungry and looking for somewhere to eat when we drove by then turned around to go back. I wish we had kept going. The bbq itself was fine, not my favorite but not bad. The sides were where the wheels came off. I... More

Brushy Creek BBQ used to be one of the best places to eat BBQ in the upstate years ago. I had not been back here in a number of years. I went for lunch recently. I was very disappointed. While the food wasn't bad it was a far cry from the quality one expected years ago. It's really out of... More

Worst BBQ I have had on a long time the pork was like roast or baked no smoke favor at all no table service and window service slow. Their greens did taste fresh. But this is not the place for old southern pit BBQ

Brushy Creek has been in this location for decades. In the beginning, it was quite good, not now. The restaurant is in need of major updating. Don't eat here expecting great SC Bar-B-Q b/c it's not here. Try Henry's Smokehouse or Charlie's.

We dined here on a Friday evening. Party of 5 (2 adults and 3 boys). Nothing really stood out. The meat itself was not as smoked as we prefer it. The sauce was just so-so. The fries were hot. None of the other sides were above aveage. Not bad, just nothing that would bring us back.

Is there anything less to give then one star? The ribs where cold, the BBQ was cold, the beans and coleslaw tasteless, the room smelled musty and on top of it the air condition made it feel like sitting in a fridge.
