Relax and enjoy, servers very pleasant. Food was great, very busy place, server made a mistake with our order so they gave us some samples from the bakery to try while we waited.

My friends and I were here on a Saturday morning over the summer and the service was very slow. The servers seemed tired and cranky. It took almost 40 minutes for our food to arrive (there were only four orders). Coffee tasted old and burnt. One of our friends was charged a large coffee because the server "was just used... More

It is so sad, the place and the bake good are exceptionally good, but coffee is just horrible. The owners would bring more customers if they serve better coffee.

Three friends and I had a wonderfully delicious Saturday brunch at The Village Baker and Cafe (note: their "brunch" menu--which sounds fabulous--is only available on Sundays). Service was great and swift, and the food was yummy and very reasonably priced. We enjoyed french toast, omelettes and a breakfast burrito. We were lucky enough to be the only folks in the... More

Great place for lunch. Nice atmosphere on the square. And we took home dessert from the bakery. Will definitely return.

Small, but diverse menu. Good service. Tasty sandwich, soup and quiche options. Recommended! Be sure to sample their baked goods!

We met some friends for the Sunday Brunch. The meal was great. We got there just after the opened and went through the buffet line. They had so many choices I did the shrimp and grits with French toast and bacon as a side. It was all great and finished with some pastries. I talked to the owner and he... More

The bakery's presentation, variety and quality are outstanding. You'd be hard pressed to find better, especially in a small town. The adjoining cafe is hit 'n miss. Prices are in the higher range for sandwiches and the like. Food is pretty consistent. Service is spotty. Once it's good; next time not. Just opened later in the week.

We stopped here for brunch after church with other couples. There was no crowd which is unusual for Sunday brunch at this restaurant. We were seated immediately and asked if we wanted the brunch. The breakfast part of the brunch had a limited selection if you don't include the pastries. This restaurant does have delicious french toast, but it wasn't... More
