As I had stopped going to The Village Baker several years ago, I did not know until quite recently that it had been under new ownership for more than two years. I am so glad I went back! The pastries are as delicious as they are beautiful and quite reasonably priced, $2.75 for a large danish, my husband loved the... More

My business partner and I meet for breakfast every quarter and almost always find ourselves at the Village Baker and Cafe. The breakfast menu doesn't offer a tremendous range of choices...but the ones offered are excellent. I especially enjoy the Breakfast Skillet which inevitably is more than I can eat at one sitting! Hobbits aren't the only folks who enjoy... More

The price for the brunch above states that it is $12.95, when in fact, the cost is now $15.95 -- which we were not expecting and more than we usually spend when we eat out. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the service was good. For the most part, the food was very good. They had some unusual items... More

Tasty meals. We had sandwiches and all were good. We left very full, but visited bakery next door (part of same business) for take home desserts. Very good dessert.

Stopped for a quick lunch with a friend and visited the bakery first...of course. It is amazing. This is the only bakery I've found in this area, and it makes wonderful cakes and pastries as well as homemade breads. Lunch was really good. I had a Monte Cristo with turkey and blueberry cream cheese...delicious and my friend had a fried... More

Stopped by for Sunday brunch and found the place to be what I would consider average for everything but the price (a little pricey in my mind). Brunch was a buffet and the food was what you would expect for buffet food. Mass produced, fair quality and not the right temperature. This is OK, I suppose, if your intent is... More

I love The Village Bakery! The Sunday brunch is my favorite. The shrimp and grits ate delicious. The pecan crisps are out of this world! The owner and staff are all very kind and friendly.

Everything is homemade. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also have a bakery with divine baked goodies. I highly recommend the fried green tomato club sandwich with a side of potato salad. I love eating here.

My family and I stopped in here for lunch one weekend, and we are very glad we did! The walls in the cafe dining room have the downtown Pendleton square businesses painted on them. Our waitress just happened to be the artist who painted the walls. She was very friendly. I had the DELICIOUS fried green tomato sandwich. The batter... More
