I love The Village Bakery! The Sunday brunch is my favorite. The shrimp and grits ate delicious. The pecan crisps are out of this world! The owner and staff are all very kind and friendly.

Everything is homemade. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also have a bakery with divine baked goodies. I highly recommend the fried green tomato club sandwich with a side of potato salad. I love eating here.

My family and I stopped in here for lunch one weekend, and we are very glad we did! The walls in the cafe dining room have the downtown Pendleton square businesses painted on them. Our waitress just happened to be the artist who painted the walls. She was very friendly. I had the DELICIOUS fried green tomato sandwich. The batter... More

Relax and enjoy, servers very pleasant. Food was great, very busy place, server made a mistake with our order so they gave us some samples from the bakery to try while we waited.

My friends and I were here on a Saturday morning over the summer and the service was very slow. The servers seemed tired and cranky. It took almost 40 minutes for our food to arrive (there were only four orders). Coffee tasted old and burnt. One of our friends was charged a large coffee because the server "was just used... More

It is so sad, the place and the bake good are exceptionally good, but coffee is just horrible. The owners would bring more customers if they serve better coffee.

Three friends and I had a wonderfully delicious Saturday brunch at The Village Baker and Cafe (note: their "brunch" menu--which sounds fabulous--is only available on Sundays). Service was great and swift, and the food was yummy and very reasonably priced. We enjoyed french toast, omelettes and a breakfast burrito. We were lucky enough to be the only folks in the... More

Great place for lunch. Nice atmosphere on the square. And we took home dessert from the bakery. Will definitely return.

Small, but diverse menu. Good service. Tasty sandwich, soup and quiche options. Recommended! Be sure to sample their baked goods!
