Our 1st time visit, was beyond our expectations. They have both in door and outside courtyard dining. Both were busy due to the ambiance, wonderful menu selections and superb service! We will be back again for sure!
My friend and I had just traveled over seven hours which was followed by searching for a gas station that had gas since we were visiting during the unfortunate gas crisis. We arrived without a reservation on a Saturday night on a beautiful weather night....The hostess was beyond hospitable and found us a table. Food, drinks and service were top notch. I would not only highly recommend this restaurant but I can’t wait to return to Pawley’s Island to eat another amazing meal there and experience great hospitality.More
Lunch outdoors is a delight! Under the trees with faint music and beautiful potted plants. My wife and I split a bowl of she crab soup—very creamy with lots of crab and a little sherry. Next was the chicken liver pate. Nice mild flavor and...served with housemade sweet pickles, whole grain mustard, grilled cranberry walnut bread. Seems an unusual combination but it was unique and great together.
Our fresh buffalo mozzarella tri colored tomato, fresh basil, capers, red onion, evoo, red wine vinegar, black lava salt. All delicious but the capers seemed superior to others we’ve had, and the black lave salt gave a different signature taste.
Lastly we had the crustless tomato basil pie—shrimp, crab, sherry tomato cream sauce that was quite yummy.
Dinner reservations a must, no reservations are allowed for lunch. Huge wine list, nice cocktail and beer choices. Our server, Rachel, was excellent.More
We had incredible appetizers and great wine and others beverages served by an incredible bartender Myla tonight. Soft shell crab and smoked Gouda pecan shrimp stuffed bacon wrapped dates that were both unbelievable! We’ll be back!
Very good restaurant. Appetizers were soft shell crab and shecrab soup. Both were very good. We had the seafood orzo and the snapper special. Overall everything was delicious and well prepared. We brought our kids and, while they did have a kids menu, it did...feel a little out of place with them there as this place was a little fancier atmosphere than others. I’d highly recommend for a date night. The bar also had a great selection of top shelf spirits.More
Stopped here for lunch. Nice outdoor area. Ordered the orzo and the Asian noodles dishes. Orzo was good and came with shrimp and scallops. Asian noodles came with chicken that was not very tasty but otherwise the dish was good. Crime brûlée appeared to be...frozen.More
Good food but overpriced. Waitress hovered over us and instead of having an enjoyable meal, we felt rushed to finish. We had literally just put our forks down when a hostess approached and told us people had reservations and were waiting for our table. We...had only been there an hour. Rude! We won’t be back.More
Stopped in for a late lunch after driving through Historic Pawleys Island. Disappointed at first as there was no grouper sandwich BUT we ended up loving our meals. The Asian Noodles were delicious as was a seafood pasta dish. My choice was the Fried Green...Tomato Sandwich, wow! Pimento cheese spread, bacon, avocado, all on grilled bread. Dessert choices were great, too. Beautiful patio setting under roof.More
We are leery of eating inside a restaurant but wanted so bad to eat at Chive Blossom. It was too cold and dreary for their outdoor dining space to be open. We called and yes, they do take out lunch! Fabulous pasta with shrimp and...spinach chicken mushroom quesadilla, which we enjoyed in our car. They packed all utensils, etc. Thank you so much.More
Food was not that great. I ordered the flounder with okra. It arrived deep fried with fried okra underneath with a tomato sauce on top of everything. I was disappointed it was not hot. The place was mobbed and I felt for the strained staff....It was no surprise at 845 pm that they were tired and next time I will eat earlier and make sure the food comes out hot. Too much fried food made me feel ill when I got home. I had the soup which I could have gotten drunk on as it had way too much sherry. I will retry this for lunch one day.More
