Get Carried Away was started back in 2011 to offer locals and tourists some of the very best low country southern takeout. Families looking for prepared meals can find Lowcountry boil, pies, chicken perlo, chicken salad and many other favorites on our menu. Get Carried Away has evolved into a more of a southern market in 2022 by expanding our offerings. We now offer a selection of wines, craft beers and a collection of unique items that you can only find at Get Carried Away Southern Market. We have also added an exclusive line of apparel and home goods that we call “Arrogantly Shabby” TM. Get Carried Away Southern Market makes entertaining easy! We ordered the low country shrimp boil for a change of pace and we couldn’t have been more pleased. This is obviously something we could have prepared ourselves but to not have to worry and prep, cooking, and cleanup made our night so much more special. Our order was perfectly prepared and the cheddar biscuits were a nice add on. We also loved the banana pudding for dessert. We will definitely be back on our next trip. GREAT JOB!

We appreciate the quality of the dishes we get there. The food is ready for takeout with easy instructions to prepare them once you get home. We are grateful they are practicing healthy requirements of gloves and masks during the pandemic keeping the customers and employees safe.

Have seen this place for years, but never tried. In order to not go out due to COVID, we decided to try the low country boil — EXCELLENT. They have the take out thing down. Was concerned it was not going to be enough food, but the portions were perfect. Will try additional items next year.

Picked up a medium chicken Perlo last evening. GCA states this should feed 4-6….not a chance……didn’t even feed three and we are not consumers or fans of large portions. Very disappointing. It’s been two years since we’ve ordered from there. I guess they’ve downsized their portions considerably.

We heard about this store from 3 separate and independent referrals. They provide prepared meals to be taken home and heated. The meals are very good; we have been very pleased with quality and flavors.

We ordered a couple different carry out meals with our friends and ate them back at our condo while vacationing in Pawley's Island. We had the shrimp boil for 2 and the small chicken & orzo pasta dish. Both dishes were very good. We made a salad to go with it and it was more than enough to serve 4 adults. The food was ready exactly the time they said it would be ready. Great customer service!

We stopped in to get some salads for snacking at our hotel.
Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. We bought the chicken salad and a crab dip, both were fresh and had very good flavor, also got some really good salted caramel chip cookies. Hope we get to visit the area again and we can make a return stop.

Whether you need a frozen dish or fresh chicken salad or delicious Palmetto cheese, go to Get Carried Away Southern Takeout in Pawleys Island. If you want to have your party catered, give Aleene a call at Get Carried Away Catering, and you won’t have a worry. These folks are the best!!

Every visit for us to Pawley's Island includes Get Carried Away. They do hot meals like the "Low Country Boil", refrigerated items like their "Carolina Caviar" and their famous "Pimento Cheese". And finally their frozen entrees. Their are also yummy fresh baked dessert items to go as well. This place is a MUST stop for a take out experience in place of a hotel or chain restaurant meal.

Ordered online with ease. First time trying. Ordered chicken Perlo and tomatoes and okra. Delicious! Left with 2 chicken salads and one of the dips. People need to try this takeout. You will not be disappointed!

We had seen advertisement and wanted to see for ourselves what it was like. We love Palmetto Cheese and the have it there. They also have casseroles and pasta dishes prepared and frozen for take out. Also, you can call and order in and they will prepare it for pick up. Very convenient.

Order low country boil for a delicious, reasonably priced carry out meal. You must order these early in the day but they are great. Otherwise the frozen food prices on the meals are grossly exaggerated. Desserts and dips are very overpriced.

I tried Get Carried Away for the first time today. We got several frozen dishes to go as well as some dips and snacks to serve to company this weekend. We ate the shrimp, vegetables, and noodle dish tonight and it was fabulous. Tons of flavor and LOTS of shrimp! Highly recommend this place for take away food.

Quality and variety of dishes is excellent.Most are prefrozen so allow time for defrosting before reheating.Once they are prepared they taste home made.

I decided to stop here while in Pawleys Island. I have eaten their cuisine on two separate occasions at friends' houses. There is a great selection of delicious take out meals. I chose the Seafood Pie- so yummy with eggs and shrimp inside a fluffy pie crust. I also picked up a Chicken Pot Pie for my daughter and family- she said it was delicious!!! We both have leftovers for tomorrow. The food is pricey, but one does not mind when the food is top quality! I am sure that I will be a regular customer when passing through Pawleys Island. Try it!!!
