Visited on Saturday, 09/10/22. Our group really enjoyed the service from our outstanding waitress Sara and the great busboy Kenneth. Everything from our first drink order to the separate checks was perfect. It's not always easy to do that with a group of hungry and thirsty golfers but Sara and Kenneth pulled it off. I had a delicious end cut prime rib and a nice bottle of Caymus Cab. Every order was nicely presented, and the evening was a nice start to our golf vacation.

My wife and I wanted to get in a Valentines lunch somewhere today and we decided to try Greg Norman's as I remembered liking it 10+ years ago for dinner. Made a reservation (but turned out we didn't need one).
I may have to do a follow up review for dinner, but this lunch visit was disappointing. The menu was quite certainly just their usual lunch menu with not many entrees other than sandwich type choices. There was really only one special for Valentines, a Salmon dish. But otherwise, no steaks or anything else.
Service was relatively slow even though there wasn't a huge crowd. Waiter seemed nice enough but at the same time, no one seemed to make a big deal about the day being Valentines Day, even after we mentioned we were making this our date for it.
The restaurant building and decor seemed nice. And I am sure the dinner menu has better choices, but it was disappointing overall not to have more offerings on a day like today.
The food was good not great for what you paid for. The fries tastes like they came out of your typical frozen bag from a food service company. The beer battered shrimp were fine, but the shrimp get lost taste wise in that sort of batter.
No bread basket and no sweet tea either. Dessert menu was very limited as well.
Overall, kind of put a damper on what was supposed to be a romantic outing. Maybe I should've done more homework. But we chose this restaurant over many others that seemed to at least offer more for Valentines Day (more specials or an all day dinner menu).

Probably my 7th time dining here. Prefer the bar area but have also done table dining in dining area. Since last trip they have added an outdoor patio directly adjacent to bar which is first come first serve as are the bar seats and indoor bar area tables. rest of restaurant including deck dining overlooking inter-coastal waterway must be seated by hostess station/reservations. started with a bottle of Greg Norman Cabernet and the Shark board appetizer. Wasn't overly impressed with the Shark board (cheeses, salami, pickles, cheese) but it was ok $20. Wife had the Wood fired12oz Ribeye($41) with mashed potatoes and green beans. i had the a la cart grilled 14 oz Rib Eye($46) and garlic mashed potatoes($6). Very good and cooked to perfection. Service slower than normal as 2 bartenders working entire bar and seating around bar as restaurants recover from COVID staffing. one bartender did nothing but service for entire restaurant as we sat there, while the other worked her but off serving the bar and surrounding tables. no matter to us as not in hurry and pace of meal was fine. nice bar area with plenty of wine/cocktail options. a few HDTV in view for sporting event viewing.

It is now January 2020 and we said “OH NO!” when asked if we wanted to celebrate New Year’s Eve with family & friends at Greg Norman - Myrtle Beach.
TRUE STORY: On July 14, 2019, Four (4) of us took my husband to the Greg Norman Restaurant to celebrate his 74th birthday... I proudly announced a birthday celebration to 2 waiters upon arriving and during dinner so that like most every other restaurants in the city, they would bring out a small single serving of anything (cookie, cake, ice cream, etc.) to help make the occasion festive. When nothing happened, I verbally inquired about it and was told that their manager said they could not complimentary bring out anything and asked if I wanted to order my husband a dessert (missed the whole point altogether - - it is not about eating dessert people!). I could not believe my ears and asked to talk with the manager. She confirmed it is too costly to compliment a simple dessert to their patrons’ special celebrations. Wow 😳 Our bill was close to $300 and I am sure most customers have very high bills as well. This to me is unheard of and unacceptable! Just like your employees expect tips, your patrons expect you to show appreciation when we choose your restaurant and request a little special attention. Needless to say... Greg Norman will never get another penny of my family’s hard earned money! Shame on you Manager/Owner of Greg Norman in Myrtle Beach!

I really wanted to like this place. Our first issue was we called to make a reservation at 6pm ( our fault for waiting so late) when we called we asked for a reservation and asked what the first was available. (We were already on the way) they said 8:30. When I asked if we showed up earlier as a walk in within 20 mins if they could sit us sooner they said absolutely not, there would be no way we could sit before 8:30. So then I went online to make a reservation. They had a 7:45 available and many other times. We booked the 7:45 and showed up at 6:30. We were sat immediately. I put in the notices it was our anniversary which they noticed. They wished us a happy anniversary. We got sat. The waitress took our food and drink order and basically never returned. Someone else even delivered our food. She never came by to ask for refills or ask how the food was. My filet was very well done. I asked for medium well and asked to have pink on the inside. Finally the bus boy came by and asked me if I was done with my plate (it has the whole steak still on it) I had eaten the sides. I had to tell him I just wanted to mention that it wasn’t cooked right especially if I’m about to drop almost $50 on a small filet of steak. So he said he would go get his manger. I told him I’m okay with just letting the server know if she would come by. The manager came by and apologized and offered to take off the meal and a dessert. Another issue I had was I ordered a peach Rita. In the description it said it had a sugared rim and it was salt. It also said it was garnished with a orange and it had a lime. The drink itself was extremely strong and I didn’t taste peach. (I never got to tell her that either because she never came by). We didn’t see our server until she brought us the bill. It was $80 for 1 ribeye, 2 drinks, and a appetizer. Just out of curiosity we asked if they offered military discount and she said yes. When she brought the bill back it was $48.95! They took 50% off of everything else on the bill. (I think they gave us more than a “military discount”). So while I’m grateful of the discounts we received I really wish we could have had a better experience for the food and customer service from the server and people I spoke with about making a reservation. I forgot to add when we showed up they weren’t busy at all. So why they said it was impossible to be seated before 8:30 is beyond me.

My wife and I live in N. Myrtle and were entertaining 3 out-of-town guests. Our party of 5 was seated at an outside table, per our reservation request, promptly upon arrival. Water, beverages and appetizer were handled well and in short order, so everyone was having a great time. For dinner our group ordered 2 prime rib and 3 swordfish special entrees, along with 2 identical sides. Simple order for a party of 5. From that point in time, things went poorly. Only 4 entrees were delivered to the table, because our server only keyed in 4. 17 minutes later the 5th entree (another swordfish) arrived. Service from that point was slow, as our server pretty much disengaged after admitting to flubbing our order. Everyone in our party was patient and silent on the issue, so there was no legitimate reason or excuse for our server disengaging. Regarding the food ... the prime rib and sides were outstanding. The swordfish was pretty good, but the Brussels sprouts were bland and way undercooked. Desserts ... the citrus cheesecake was excellent; the peanut butter cheesecake was average; and the creme brulee was soupy and not set up properly. When we got our check, the delayed ($50) swordfish entree was still on the check, but about $30 worth of beverages had been comped. Not handled well, we thought. To summarize ... the prime rib was outstanding; the swordfish entree was average and overpriced for the quality of preparation; and the service was extremely disappointing. Based on this experience as well as recent past experiences, Greg Norman has become too inconsistent for entertaining discerning guests.

My wife and I entertained a business client at Greg Norman tonight and, unfortunately, the service was poor. Right off we had to ask our server for wine and drink menus. We also had to ask him if there were any food specials (there were). We finally were able to order cocktails and the crab dip appetizer. The cocktails came out straight away. The crab dip eventually showed up after I inquired about it after about 20 minutes and AFTER our entrees were delivered. My spicy ahi tuna dish was delicious. I'll definitely order it again. My wife enjoyed her salmon, and our guest really liked her lobster ravioli. The crab dip appetizer was under-seasoned and forgettable. After finishing our dinners, we were never asked if we cared for another round of beverages, coffee or dessert. After sitting for a bit with empty plates and glasses on the table, I finally caught our server's attention and asked for the check. We're no strangers to Greg Norman and have always had good experiences. Our food tonight was solid, even at their above-average price point, but the service was inexcusable regardless of price point. We watched other servers handle other tables around us, and they were getting the job done ... so our server (#6051) was the problem tonight. We'll try again, but we were very disappointed tonight. And our guest who had never dined at Greg Norman before was underwhelmed.

After walking around Barefoot Landing, we decided to get some lunch. We heard great things about the restaurant for dinner and were pleasantly surprised to learn they had a lunch menu, which was very reasonably priced. The burger was excellent as well as the grilled crabcake sandwich. The Coopers pale ale shrimp was also superb! And we were surprised with lemonade refills. Definitely would go back!

First I wanna say, it’s a shame trip advisor won’t allow more than one review per month because I’ve been here 3 x in the past 5 weeks! Dylan was my lunch server when I wasn’t allowed to review. Lunch and Dylan, super nice and accommodating guy, were both great. Salmon lunch was outstanding! Now we just went for dinner again, Jacob R. Was our server. He was very personable and accommodating, great server. Hubby ordered 14 oz prime rib, melted in your month. We love it cooked medium but thrown on the grill too! My salmon winter special menu, also grilled, is some of the best tasting salmon! ( Very good sour dough bread too). My only complaint is that they changed the succotash recipe. I never order succotash over mashed potatoes except here. I may reconsider this side dish on my next trip . It’s good but not as good as the old recipe! Needs changed back. We will be going back again in two weeks, so I’m sure trip advisor will not allow my double per month review.
We’re so sold on this restaurant! We met Will, the newer manager, he’s very pleasant and welcoming.
Norman’s has a great winter special menu, most everything is 29.00 each and it’s bogo free....must purchase 2 drinks. It’s awesome! Also, One person can order off the regular menu if they want. For example, my husband ordered the 14 oz prime rib off the regular menu for 32.00, my meal was off the special menu for 29.00, my meal was the free one.

Sunsets are on the intercoastal side so this place is perfect for a leisurely afternoon with family and friends. It offers two dining experiences: a laid back coastal happy hour in the outdoor pub with live music or fine dining. Our family has done both and we were very happy with the appetizer menu. For dinner during Christmas week we enjoyed the lamb lollipops (HUGE) and the charcuterie plate. The kitchen obviously knows exactly how to prepare and present fine cuts of meat and takes pride in their dishes. The atmosphere is old style elegance where you can indulge in the lost art of dressing for dinner, or not! We appreciated all the effort that went into decorating the restaurant for the holidays. The prices reflect the outstanding food, service and atmosphere. They have a pretty serious hostess stand that manages reservations, so making them is advisable.

Received a restaurant gift certificate and decided to use on Christmas Eve. We were looking forward to an excellent prime rib dinner. Well we were very, very disappointed. We are accustomed to paying the price for good cuisine but this food was horrible. We had 9 oz lobster tail & 8 oz prime. The lobster dinner was a la carte, therefore, I ordered a loaded potato. When the dinner was served, there was a whole baked potato on my plate. Obviously, the waitress forgot I ordered a loaded potato. The baked potato was not even sliced on the plate. The lobster tail had black grill marks and was smoked. ($50 for 9 oz lobster tail) . Was not in the shell (no presentation) had a definite smoked taste & was tough. The prime rib was extremely dry & unseasoned ($48 8 oz). Was ordered medium but overcooked. Horseradish sauce was not provided, only prepared. We expected a fine dining meal versus one that should have been served at a fish camp. There was so much traffic, waiters/waitress’s running around delivering plates, bread, pouring water, If you are expecting atmosphere, fine dining and delicious food, this is NOT the place!

My husband made reservations for my 50th birthday dinner and Greg Norman’s DID NOT DISAPPOINT in any area. Firstly, I must give a shout out to Trey, our waiter. He was FABULOUS. Friendly, professional and attentive. Each dinner was absolutely perfectly prepared. My husband and I had the filet mignon au poivre (medium) and you could cut it with a fork. Incredible cut of meat. My brother had the lobster ravioli and he raved about it. His wife had the rib eye steak and she loved it. My mom had the pork chops and she commented that they were the best she has ever had. On our way out, we had to give kudos to the chef! Lastly, we finished our meal with the “made to order” molten lava chocolate cake - TO DIE FOR!! It was worth the 12 minutes it took to cook. It gave us time to finish our wine and chat, reflecting on my first 50 years:). We will definitely be returning to Greg Norman’s!! Thank you for an awesome dining experience! Make sure you make reservations for dinner. FYI - the 2 for 1 dinners ended on February 27th. Having said that.....worth every penny.

Very Good! Probably my favorite restaurant in North Myrtle. I’m a sucker for great steak and this place is very good for steak. Our waiter was very helpful when I asked him what dishes he recommended. Presentation of the food was superb. Highly recommend.

There is a large parking lot with plenty of parking for this restaurant. The menu was hard to choose from as each entree read as amazing. I ordered the Filet Mignon and the Filet was truly one of the best Filet Mignon's I ever had in my lifetime. Absolutely cooked to perfection. Ordered mine lightly pink. The Filet was like cutting through butter and the taste was phenomenal! My husband ordered the Prime Rib in AuJus sauce and he said the Aujus sauce was so good that he wished he could purchase some.. Oh and he said this was the best prime rib he ever ordered in any restaurant. The wait staff was very attentive and helpful. We could not have asked for better service. During our dinner service the lights went out and the staff brought candles immediately and checked on every guest. In an effort to make us all comfortable they asked if we wanted to move to outside seating. We opted to stay put. My husband wanted to order Chocolate Lava cake and since the electricity was out our waitress said sorry. However, they did offer us free dessert. To our surprise the chef had 1 cake left and was able to deliver on the Lava cake. My husband said it was delicious. We had an extremely well prepared and perfectly perfected dining experience. We would definitely return again. We did not order cocktails or beer. Just water and iced tea. The ice tea was very good.

The food and service at this unique restaurant were wonderful. We went with friends and everyone enjoyed their dinner. The fish of the day was prepared beautifully snd was delicious. My adventurous husband tried kangaroo and said it was very good. Some of the entrees were a bit pricey but for the quality of the food and service, we all agreed it was worth it. Reservations are recommended.
