If you like $12 cocktails served in a Dixie cup smaller than the one you rinse your mouth at the dentist, this is the place for you !!

They must hate money. 2 bartenders, packed house. What’s the thinking? Not the place for a senior trip. Awful music, no bartenders, would not recommend.
Philly steak was really good. Staff was very friendly. Didn’t plan on eating here but after we never got waited on at another restaurant we ended up here and the food was really good.
We took my sister here last night for a few drinks for her 21st birthday and it turned into a mess. The bouncer looked at her REAL ID let her in, bartender rechecked it and then served her 3-4 drinks. She went outside and went...back to get another drink and a new bouncer decided it was fake, put it in his pocket said they were calling the cops because it was fake. Took it back out she told him to call the cops he said he didn’t want cops at the establishment. In the meantime the bouncer who said her Id was fake was checking another persons ID and I thought it was hers he dropped it I went to pick it up and he grabbed my arm and turned it and pushed me away. Because I went down to pick up an ID. (That I thought was my sisters) it was so bad her boyfriend and friend jumped in to help and he pushed her bf as well. Then yelled “don’t try to go to SkyBar either because we own that too. The cops came didn’t do anything because “he grabbed me because he thought I was trying to steal the ID because it was fake” gave the ID to the cop which he confirmed was REAL. 🙄 So needless to say this is how my sisters 21st birthday went. I have called and asked for the owner to contact me he has never. The manager and bar manager were extremely apologetic but it should be the owners responsibility to correct this and make it right. It’s sad that one employee set the mood for the entire night and we were have a great time before he came over claiming she had a fake ID.More
I was at this bar last weekend. Had a great time, however when my credit card was charged, it was for more than what I had signed for. I called the number on the receipt a couple times - nobody answered and the vim box...was full. I had to call my credit card company to dispute. I also warned the others with me to check their accounts as well. Very disappointed. If it wasn’t for that, I would have give a much better review.More
Seemed quite and dark when we stopped in on a weekday evening. After a few drinks that needed to be remade we decided to leave since the younger crowd showed up and took over.
Was there on New Years Eve during the day to watch the Panthers game. They had a band playing (I guess you would call them that), but all they did was mic check. Because they were "playing" there was no sound on the football game....No biggie, but a bit annoying. The bad came when it was time to leave. They stated that they would be open until game was over, but were then closing to get ready for their party that evening. Instead, they came and turned the game off right before it was over AND right after they sold us a bucket of beer?? So we basically lost the money on the beer because they told to get out. The owner/manager was extremely rude. It's a great bar but there are better options where you won't get treated that way. I most likely won't be back.More
New Years Weekend they had a great band and no cover charge. Large crowd and everyone was having fun.
They have juicy burgers and well cooked french fries. Their burgers taste homemade. I was there for SOS and even as busy was they were, the food was fresh.
Good tunes and a solid dive bar vibe. My buddies and I have been tearing up the Cove for well over a decade. Never disappoints.
Tonight I visited your establishment for the first time. The drinks, the people, the environment, were amazing. But then came closing time. And everything changed. I went downstairs and purchased an adult beverage. A vodka redbull, to be exact. And I wanted to savor my...drink. To be done with my undergraduate career in solidarity. But instead, I was treated with mayhem. I was treated with disrespect. Long before 2am (the quoted time of closing for the Pirates Cove) I was asked to either chug my drink or throw it away. Really?? Chug this incredible symbol of American freedom from Europe? Consume this drink of alcoholic beverage in less than the standard drinking time of a beverage? I was appalled. And disappointed. How could I ever return to such an establishment? My democratic values so blatantly abused. If such an establishment continues to exist, they must anticipate the countless amount of diversity and freedom of speech that we all demand.More
Walked in and immediately smelled what seemed to be mold. 12 of us walked in, visiting from up various places. We are bikers, but clean and respectful. Walked around bar, went to restroom, it was very nasty. We came in to eat and have a...few drinks. Based on the advertising it showed good food. There was No food. Bald bartender was rude, Acting like was doing us a favor. Said he was only bartender and was cook. And kitchen was shut down, We finally after 30 minutes got drinks. A band was setting up so we figured we would hang out anyway. No one came to table or ever checked on us. Ever. Or even looked our way. The band started and they immediately acknowledged us and welcomed everyone, including the bikers attending Atlantic Beach Sport bike week. Or as the call it in Myrtle Beach, black bike week. One of them even came off the stage to our amazement and shook most of our hands. We stayed and listened to the band for about 45 minutes. We left. Place was getting busy, figured we could not get service when slow, surely not getting service now. If we had even been asked if we needed anything we might have ordered a pizza next door and stayed. Since they had no food. Which was advertised. Band was outstanding. I'm sure many others left eventually also. Bartender cost them lots of money. They eventually did get another bartender in I think. I was told the following day that lots of restaurants close during bike week, black bike week, I will never go here again. Band, not sure what name was, it was not you. I know you had to see us leaving. Thumbs up. And thank you for at least seeing us. We were there on 4/29/17.More
Great floor for dancing and great DJs. They keep it plenty cold in there so no worry about getting hot dancing. Food is good and the staff is great. Join the fun!
Came here with my friends and we had a lot of fun! There was a $5 cover, but the drinks were cheap. We had a lot of fun dancing, and we even got some of the other folks there dancing a lot with us! It...was a good time. We had a lot of fun.More
Really fun neighborhood place. Decent fried shrimp, wings, and bar food. REALLY cold beer. The cover bands are usually really good. And if you want a view, you can head up to the roof where they sometimes have acoustic performers.
