Restaurant is divided in two halves with a number of semi private alcoves. Service was great and quick. Corned beef and cabbage came as a large and tasty portion. Corned beef was moist and flaky. Fisherman's Pie was also delicious and filling. Kids meal of chicken fingers and fries was a hit. Chicken was moist and nicely breaded. The fries... More

Voted one of Charleston's best Irish pub, it's truly a "pub". Not very big, not a typical sports bar like a typical sports bar, but Irish pub food and lots of Irish beer, along with a few local brews and American staples. Located down near the Navy yard, it's a hangout for the locals and abut off the beaten path.... More

While the Irish food menu is small, their beer menu is not. The Fisherman's Pie is delicious and is wonderful when paired with a Smithwick's. I stated that the food menu is small as it listed just a few typically Irish foods - Fisherman's pie, Shepherd's pie, fish & chips, corn beef & cabbage, and Irish stew;,plus a slice of... More

My husband and I have visited this restaurant several times and the food is always excellent! I thing the hamburger is the best in South Carolina! It's a thick, juicy hamburger with lots of flavor for only $8.45. The Shepherd's Pie is awesome at only $10.25. Love cornbeef and cabbage? Only $11.95. So many wonderful items to choose from on... Free appetizer Mac & cheese was excellent. Ordered corned beef and cabbage and was disappointed that there was none on the menu that day. Considering its an Irish tradition, I expected that they would have it. Otherwise the food is average,

Spent the morning shopping and walking the Gilmore Holiday Market! Needed a good lunch before headed home to Sumter. I had the Irish Nachos, OMG yummy. Home made chips with Shepard's pie over it. My friend had Irish Stew, he said it was delicious.

My husband and I spent the day recently in North Charleston, before heading out at the end of the day we decided to have an early supper. On the suggestion of friends we tried Madra Rua. The service was very good. We ordered the chicken wings appetizer, our waitress informed us without delay that a new batch of wings was... More

We didn't really enjoy the brunch very much. My partner's fish and chips came out a bit overcooked and burnt. The crab eggs Benedict was super salty. They just seemed more annoyed that we decided to eat there.

We went to Madra Rua so my husband could get fish and chips. We ate a variety of things from the menu. My son in law ate the corned beef and cabbage. He said it was the best ever. The fish and chips were very good. My sandwich was so so. I was really disappointed when we left and I... More

When someone suggested an Irish pub in the Charleston area I was a bit skeptical. When we pulled up the appearance began to change my mind. The interior is all dark wood giving a very cozy feeling. Great selection of beer and liquor offered up by the friendly and attentive staff. The food was delicious. The corned beef and cabbage... More
