This is hands down, the best pizza I've ever ate. I take all my out of town guests there and they are amazed by the pizza. Tried the basil and olive oil ice cream as well and it was delish as well. Service is good. Prices are a bit on the high side but worth every penny. Service is great.

I stopped here while on a business trip. Boy, I'm glad I did. They have awesome pizza and really good beer. I highly recommend EVO Pizza!

The tastiest of pizzas in Charleston can be found here. The joint is a little bit hipster but the pizza is legitimately good. From the house made sausage to the roasted garlic, everyone can craft a pizza to their liking. It is pricey though; I couldn't recommend this as a budget restaurant. If this is lunch or dinner, breakfast better... More

We have always had the best pizza at EVO. The crust is delicious and toppings never fail us. Recently we shared a salami, feta & mozzarella cheese, pumpkin and arugula. It was outstanding! The staff is helpful and attentive. The bakery is full of delicious items.

Some of the best pizza I ever had. Very good selection of beers. Appreciated the variety of local beers. Near airport hotels.

Neat selection of pizza, but it is cramped and very hot inside. They do not serve liquor and the food is a bit pricey for the portion.

Today I ran in for two Togo salads and sat down for the panini special for lunch. This was the best sandwich I have ever eaten, ever! It had smoked pork shoulder, hook cheddar cheese, sautéed onion, house made slaw and the craft bakery baked hogie was delicious! The pizza and salads are just as good!! Had to run in... More

Hey kids of the 'wood fired" pizza nation, this is a great place for you. This is a small local pizza made with local ingredients in a great atmosphere. Our group of 7 had salads and both were just the bomb. You don't always get a great salad at at pizza place, but this was sure tasty. We tried 3... More

We stopped by here for dinner and just loved it. Place was packed on a Monday night. We had the Bibb salad with bacon bits, fire roasted olives and we had the best pizza. We Recommend you to give them a try.

We started with two pretty good appetizers. The first was pimento & pickles, which include sweet pickles/pickled green tomatoes and a nice helping of delicious pimento goat cheese with toasted crostini to eat it on. The second was an assortment of wood-fired olives which we both enjoyed. The pizza is where we had issues. We could barely find the Basil,... More

EVO (Extra Virgin Oven) Pizzeria is the wood-fired dream of Matt McIntosh and Ricky Hacker. Matt and Ricky met while working in the illustrious kitchen at FIG in downtown Charleston in 2003. The pair spent the better part of a year forming the concept for a wood-fired pizza shop that would focus on local ingredients. In 2005 they flew the coop to start EVO. The first incarnation was a mobile wood-fired pizza oven - in other words, a fancy trailer - that they used for catering. Turns out, people really like fancy trailer pizza. It became apparent that the concept was ready for a brick & mortar restaurant, and they found a perfect home on East Montague Avenue in North Charleston, part of the up-and-coming Park Circle area. In 2007, EVO Pizzeria fired up its ovens for the public, and hasn't stopped since. We come to work at EVO every day to bring fun, delicious food and drink to our community. We source locally and regionally because we're proud to be here. We cook with love because we love to cook. And who doesn't love pizza?
