About

Dagwood's Deli opened in 1988. We baked our sub rolls in house daily to provide the freshest ingredients to our signature deli sandwiches. We offer delivery daily until 4pm and then the deli side closes but provides the same great menu to Bumstead's Pub that adjoins and remains open until 2am.

Great food and service

Went to Dagwood’s one lunchtime whilst on vacation from the UK. We were attending the WSM 2024 competition and a local had recommended Dagwood’s for food. The whole family (4 adults and 1 child) had a great experience with tasty food and friendly service. Add to that what good value it was and we would heartily recommend a visit whenever you are in the area

Oh my God. We are from New Jersey we were a little tired of sea food. We searched the booklet that we get in the hotel, I am telling you that if you are visiting Myrtle Beach, you have to come to Dagwoods Deli the sandwich we had was Italian hot and my husband had his cold. You will be so full, this place will not disappoint you on the food. The grill was not working, that didn’t make a difference, everything was super delicious. I recommend coming here. We also had a drink and that was also very good. The waitress was excellent as well, very personable and attentive. So don’t go any else until you try Dagwoods Deli. Ask for Tammy she needs to get a raise. Wonderful eatery. Bi wish we had this in New Jersey.😎

PHENOMENAL - you HAVE to try it! Quality food, low prices and they give you alot!

I had a taste for a philly steak sandwich so we tried it last year. Dagwood's Deli is AMAZING! My wife doesn't like subs, but she was thrilled. I got the philly steak and she got the French dip (beef) sub. They were huge and TONS of meat. This was not the cheap stuff you get at other sub shops. it comes with a side of potato salad, Cole slaw, fries or chips. The prices are so low they are amazing! We went back this year (October). Everything you get there is great! It's a secret - you need to try it. It's 2 or 3 blocks up from the SkyWheel. You can park behind the restaurant and walk to the Skywheel after you eat. I HIGHLY recommend this. Spend all your money at a pricey seafood restaurant and come to Dagwood's the next day and save a bundle. You will love it - they have something for everyone. Great staff and great service.

Good Food, Beware of Extra Charges

The food, service, and atmosphere are good! The rye they use for the Rueben sandwiches is not very good. It didn't have much flavor or a good solid texture. The meats and sauces were good. Dagwood's charges an extra 4% if you use a credit card. Also, when you pay cash, they just give you the bills back not the change. Not good. We didn't want make a fuss about it, but that is just wrong. In addition, we were surprised there was an upcharge ($2.29) for regular French fries. French fries are usually considered a standard side, not one with an upcharge.

Poor service twice in one week

I can’t base this review on the actual taste of the food, because they gave me a basic turkey sandwich instead of the carribean chicken I ordered last Sunday. I tried again and ordered the same sandwich today after work, only to be greeted by a 45-60 minute wait. They had the decency to charge me half but I lost my appetite at this point. These experiences would leave any decent being with a bad taste, good luck with yours!

Absolutely Amazing!!

If you are looking an authentic sub, this is the place!! I had the turkey and roast beef and it did not disappoint. Also the homemade potato salad is delicious. Great vibe! Big screen TVs, and wonderful fresh food!!

The food was amazing. We were there for happy hour and got their fried mushrooms and cheese sticks. They didn’t skimp on the portions just because it was happy hour. The sandwiches are all very good. We had the prime rib Philly, the Italian, the Philly, and two kid’s burgers. They accommodated my child’s egg allergy without a problem. We will certainly come back. Nicole (from New York) was our server and was amazing. She gave great suggestions and was very helpful.

Best Lunch

My husband & myself went here for the 1st time today for lunch . He received a little gift card & we used it today ! The menu has so many choices . I had the Richards reuibin it was delicious, my hubby had the Dagwood dipper he enjoyed it as well . We will be back for sure since we are locals !

Excellent dinner meals

Went 2 times this week with a group of 10 both times here in Myrtle Beach for a Navy reunion. Our server Gabby was excellent. Young lady handled a group of older Navy veterans with no problems or issues. We requested her the second time and the hostess obliged us with her area and service. She was excellent as well as all of the meals. Portions are excellent, everything cooked as requested. Served fresh and hot, not sitting around. Would go back again in the future!

Great sandwich

Locals can give you the best information. We asked for a good sandwich shop and Dagwood's was everything he said it would be. Delicious, fresh ingredients, great staff, reasonably priced. We would go again.

We stopped in for a late lunch upon the recommendation of friends. I’m not sure why they thought this place was special enough to suggest it to us. It’s very dark and noisy. Our waiter had zero personality. Our simple order of two cheeseburgers arrived with no cheese. The waiter offered to bring a slice of cheese to the table… The food was just ok. Our lunch visit gave us no reason to return again in the future.

Went here on Sunday to watch 4 pm nfl game. Ordered Heineken and a Buffalo chicken dip. Beer was nice n chill. Dip was cold and lacking chicken...poor

Great sandwich joint near boardwalk

Extensive sandwich menu. Do not be put off by the line to order. The sandwiches are worth the wait. Lots of seating available inside or they do have takeout. Daily sandwich specials available. Seems to be popular with locals as well as tourists.

Must visit while in myrtle beach

Honestly might be the best sandwiches me or my wife ever had .. we went only because I like British themed places. Was so amazing that we got another sandwich the next night to-go. Price is reasonable as well. Don’t fall for the touristy crap, go here instead

I honestly dont know how anyone could post a bad review for this place. Ive been goin here for almost 10 years while on vacation. You just cant beat the food for the price. Ive almost tried every sandwich on the menu and have yet to find a bad one.
