Having lived in Germany for awhile, we had wanted to re-create the feeling & taste of Germany in our hearts and tastebuds! This place is easy to find & parking is right at the front door. Get there early to avoid crowds. It is decorated as a gasthaus & for a short time we felt like we were back there. The... More

We go to Myrtle Beach every September. Being 100% German, I need German food as often as possible. I live in Charleston SC and you can't get it there ! The food is very authentic and home made ! This restaurant reminds me so much of a German club up north that we always went to. Every one is so... More

NMB vacations are a tradition in my family, and my Aunt and Uncle recommended this place to my parents last year. My wife and I were unable to make it down to NMB last year, but my parents enjoyed this place well enough to warrant a return this year. Every thing we had was very good, from the rye bread... More

From the time we walked through the door until we left I thought I left North Myrtle Beach and was in Germany again. The wait staff were all in German clothes, the music was German, and the interior looked like a Gasthaus. The food was great and the beer was good too. Don't miss this place.

I love Kassler Rippchen and sauerkraut and this place does it justice. I love their German potato salad also. The kids (13 and 15) love it too! A must when we are in Myrtle Beach.

I have been to Europe 3 times and ate German food there and this restaurant matches that experience. Order the potato pancakes as an appetizer . Don't miss the goulash either . Starting from the outside, the experience is unique and reflective of the culture. The live music was an added Delight as was the ethnic attire the waitresses wore.... More

Husband and I had dinner and the food was great. The German potato salad was perfect. Enjoyed the live accordion music. Service was good. Will need to get a reservation, the place was packed.

You know when you are greeted at t he door that this is a REAL Gereman place. The food is just ok. the Brats were a little on the tough side. The sauerbratten was a little chewy and the flavor was all in the gravy. The goulash was nothing special. Our hostess was very nice and we had an accordian... More

This was our first time at Horst Gasthaus in over 25 years and it is still the best German restaurant on this side of the Atlantic. Delicious food from potato pancakes to wursts to cabbages to sauerbraten (and don't forget the strudel!!). My 2 1/2 year old grandson downed two sides of spaetzle and loved it! ... add a few...
