The setting is classic Myrtle Beach. The restaurant is on a side street with ample parking and a quaint open air eating area. My wife had a hamburger which she said was very good. I have the craw dads which were good but I suspect...not alive just prior to being served to me. I say this because a few days earlier I had bought live crawdads at 7 Seas in Murrells Inlet which were plumper, fresher and sweeter. But Dirty Don's crawdads weren't bad. Service was good and the manager was very observant and engaged.More
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Myrtle Beach. We had lobster roll with fried oysters and scallops. They make fish and chips a creative way that you've got to try. We could tell it was good by the number of people there before...the 5:00 rush hour. You have got to put this on your "must go" list.More
This is the 2nd time I've been here. 2 years ago was amazing, this time around is just A OK... what changed? The oysters weren't as good... ordered the sampler of grilled oysters and they weren't hot. Like the oysters were lukewarm and so are...the toppings, the cheese weren't even completely melted. So disappointing, ate it anyways but didn't really enjoy it. The seafood boil, was OK, nothing to really talk about, it was steamed seafood sprinkled with old bay, the shrimp was lukewarm too. My BF and I have been to everywhere in the south particularly NOLA, we know what great seafood is like.. this was edible but not that good. You know what's good? Their grilled teriyaki chicken sandwich and their seafood nachos. I'm giving 3 stars because service was prompt, drinks were good like the Bloody Mary and they're pet friendly. For someone who loves seafood, dirty dons did not deliver.More
Came here over Christmas Break. They were busy on a Sunday night. The service and food were both excellent - had the seafood sampler - plenty of food & reasonably priced. Drinks were good too. Will definately come back next time in Myrtle Beach.
