Have been going to Sea Captain's House for 40 years. This trip the food was average considering prices are very high compared to like quality elsewhere.Had expected for the money, a better quality and fresh meal. Fried food battter was heavy and tasted as though it was re-fried. Past year visit was somewhat similar, so probably will not return.

This is my favorite authentic seafood restaurant in Myrtle Beach. My husband and I went for lunch the first time. We both had the she crab soup and crab cake sandwich. Instead of fries, we got the pasta salad, which was freshly made with dill. The star was that soup! Yep! Loved it! We both enjoyed it so much that... More

As I am in the summer season service business myself I escaped my area for a day to check out some equipment in the area. So I was in need for some relaxing down time, we got to the Sea Captain's House about 8:00 & had just a few minutes wait. The staff offered us a seat at the bar... More

Service was good. Staff was attentive. Drinks were fine. Food was overpriced for what you got. Baked potato was not cooked. Salad was small. Broiled flounder was dry with too much paprika. Scallops were good but again way too much Paprika. In my opinion it was a POOR MEAL FOR THE PRICE.

Sea Captain's has long been a favorite of ours. So, we were really looking forward to eating here multiple times on our recent beach trip. It had been a few years and we found a lot of changes - starting with the parking. What used to be the parking lot is now a water park for the hotel next door.... More

Hard to judge on one visit but for a high rated seafood eatery it was overated. Calamari not too bad to start. Highly rated clam chowder was a bust for me anyway. Entrees of 2 clamcakes dry and bland. Seafood jumbalaya was good scallops done great burnt pieces of sausage sauce was good though. Place does get very busy. From... More

Nice restaurant, ok food, good atmosphere. Slightly expensive, efficient wait staff. This is a very popular place with a 30 minute wait on a Monday evening in latr September. No reservations.

Drove past this restaurant while exploring Myrtle Beach. Saw how busy the parking lot and valet parking was that early in the evening and decided to dine here on my return. After a wait of about 20 minutes I was seated at a table with a view of the landscaped beach and pounding surf beyond. The service was very good,... More

The food was great as well as the service. I have never been disappointed here. I was dining with several friends and a few of them have never eaten here. Everyone was delighted a the choice and will obviously return.
