Get it together!

After attempting to visit your establishment a few times this past week, each time I tried there was a line out the door and your establishment couldn’t even handle the guests trying to even dine. Upon seeing two servers I could see why there was...an issue as their were no hostess or manager on sight to acknowledge the very long line of guests wanting to come try your food. I finally had lunch the other day which was blah. You server made it a point to tell me she only receives $2.15 cents an hour. I was mortified for her. Although she was a bit blunt with her personality I tipped her generously. Upon returning for dinner this evening your website says you close at 10:00pm and you turned away several guests saying you close at 9pm- no where on your door or website says anything other then you close at 10pm - it’s spring break - as I was eating my dinner around 8:30 or so which was at least tasty, my soup and dinner all arrived at the same time as if you wanted us out of the restaurant asap- should of just walked out with to go containers if I knew your team would just bring it all at once! Upon learning you’re under new ownership, you really need to take note of my review as I was one who actually was able to get in and “pay” for food. You turned away upwards this evening I would say at least 5 or 6 multiple groups of 4 or more!? Aren’t you in business to make money? Why turn away guests? So upside! Get it together! I most certainly will not be back after giving this feedback to your waitress who really could of cared less- the same waitress from the other days lunch who said she’s been there for 7 years - still tipped her generously as you pay her in change! Also, your “Heinz Ketchup” bottles are most certainly not filled with Heinz ketchup- you probably don’t even care - just by that small false advertising of said ketchup- you don’t even deserve one star. You have a fantastic location on the beach with a great business model if you run it correctly - do better! Your patrons deserve better- train your staff to not share their unfortunate sad hourly wage - the end.More

Change of ownership, Price increases and food quality gone down... not a good thing

We normally frequent this place a lot. We were shocked to find the Sandwich and Burgers, no longer included fries. It now comes with chips. If you want fries, it's a $2.99 up charge. The fries also went downhill. They tasted double cooked in old...oil. No longer fresh and crispy. If I'm going to pay $17.98 for a cheesesteak and French fries, at least it should be good, but unfortunately it wasn't. We won't be coming back.More

Someone needs to check on the employees

I'm being very generous here because I want to believe that it was an off night for this place. My friend and I headed over to the Cafe because it was close to the hotel for dinner after the marathon. We were told that the...kitchen was backed up and it would be at least an hour for food. That was the first red flag we ignored. We bellied up to the bar thinking the service would be better. Being so close to the bartender and wait staff, we got a glimpse into an insane night for this establishment. I'm not sure if they are poorly managed, under staffed, or simply inefficient. Every employee was frazzled and working their asses off. Ultimately, we only ordered drinks and got out of there. Most people would give this place one star. I just felt bad for everyone working there. The drinks were decent. I'm rooting for them.More

4% add on for debit card!

Atmosphere was great. Food was BLAH! My house salad came with no fixins’ and the wrong dressing. Hamburger was blah and chips were soft. Then when the bill came we had to pay an additional 4% for using a debit card which was not referenced...ANYWHERE. We would have paid cash has we been told.More

New Year’s Lunch ay Bummz!

About our 5th year celebrating New Year’s Day with the traditional pork, collards, rice and gravy, black eyed peas and corn bread! Delicious and the beach was beautiful. Lunch on the terrace was fantastic!

Good burgers and friendly bar maids.

We stopped here twice during our stay. Karen took care of us the first night and we know her from past years. We then came back for the OSU/Michigan game and Sydney was our barmaid. We spent the entire game sitting at the bar eating...and drinking (we Uber/Lyft). Good bar food. Sydney was especially fun since she is from Michigan.More

Great food with friendly staff right on the beach

Always a must and always divine! We love coming here each time we visit Myrtle. We always get the Buffalo Shrimp as our appetizer. The shrimp are a good size and the batter is not too thick. We have tried many things in the menu...and all are wonderful. We had the fried shrimp basket today and so glad we did. Always a fun place with a friendly staff.More

Great view, great atmosphere and tasty food

This restaurant is right on the beach, very laid back feel, a place you could spend hours catching up with friends. Chairs are facing the waves so you have a view if you ever have to wait. The staff is very friendly and they were...able to make a substitution at no extra charge (double Cole slaw instead of French fries) The fried Mago/ Shrimp basket was very fresh as well as tasty. I came for only a couple of days but kept eating here because you really can’t beat the value or the view.More

Great Place!

Great place to watch a game oceanfront. Watched the Bengals game on 10/16 with friends and family. Kid friendly. Great wings and affordable drinks. Server Yakira was outstanding. We will be back soon.

So much fun

We have been there several times! Great bartenders Kimy and Jeff! Food was great. Met quite a few locals and vacationers with lots of stories. Able to watch a few play off games. Great live music on some evenings.

Don’t bother

Putting the obnoxiously loud (not very good) music and slow service aside, the food is average at best. Was shocked that any restaurant would allow smoking still. Server didn’t bring our soups, even told her and reminded her to take them off the bill…of course...was charged for them. Asked for a manager (after the 15 minute wait to get a check!) nobody showed up. 10 minutes later I had to retrieve my own leftover box and go to the bar to have the soup removed and pay my bill. With the absolute multitude of places to enjoy a meal…do yourself a favor and find one.More

Horrible service

Horrible service. Don't mind waiting for a table don't mind waiting a little longer for food especially in a tourist town. Food was dropped never saw a waitress again. Didn't get half the food asked for a manager never got one. Had to go get...our own to go box and pay at the bar!! RidiculousMore

Great location and service

We had grouper bites; amazing and mahi sandwich and shrimp basket. The food came out very quickly and atmosphere was amazing. Marianne was our waitress and very professional and recommendations on food was stop on. Highly recommend
