Excellent food, great service, fair pricing

Based on some of the reviews we decided to give Little Italy a try. It was a chance worth taking and was something that we were glad we did! We went on Wednesday at about 7 PM. This was in the month of May and they are open until 9 PM. During the peak season they are open until 10 PM. The restaurant is located in a small strip shopping center, and although has a clean appearance, it does not have the prominent appearance of some other standalone establishments. However, that ended up being irrelevant. We were promptly seated by a friendly hostess, and then our table was approached by the server just a minute later. The server promptly took our drink order and provided us menus. We were uncertain what to order, or try, however, the server was very helpful and helping us decide. My wife ordered cheese ravioli, my son had the chicken with pasta and vodka sauce, and I had chicken Parmesan. We each opted for a house salad , with the homemade Italian dressing, which was delicious! The salad was only a one dollar extra charge with the meal. That’s right, only one dollar! The soup of the day was Italian wedding, which was only two dollars additional with the meal. The soup was homemade, the broth had plenty of flavor, and was very tasty. I might add that the homemade bread was brought over by our server with both butter and dipping oil. It was delicious! We had another serving of that as well. Our meals came out not much later, but perfect timing after we are finished our salads and soup. All the meals were hot, and everyone enjoyed them immensely. We asked the server for additional vodka sauce for my son, and she brought us a container to take home. Although it was a four dollar extra charge for the additional size it was a good amount and was freshly made . If you choose to dine here, I think you’ll be very satisfied with your choice., They offer pizza, and some specialty pizzas. We were tempted, but we did not order the pizza because we felt we had enough food ordered. We may try the pizza next time , as other guests had ordered it.

Best Italian Restaurant on the Grand Strand

I thought I wrote a review for this fabulous Italian restaurant after our first visit and when I went to add to my review I realized I had forgotten. We’ve been coming here for quite some time and have always been extremely pleased with our meals. I think I’ve eaten almost every entree they offer and each has been ultra delicious. I recently had their Shrimp Carbonara, it was amazing, they even butterflied the shrimp. This is truly the best Italian restaurant on the Grand Strand and this review comes from a Sicilian from New York. Their prices are very reasonable, the service is excellent and every meal has been outstanding. They also support the community by participating in charities.

Excellent Italian food

This restaurant is great. The food is so good. They have bread to dip in oil mixture, and wedding soup which was so good and tasty. Side Caesar salad was good and nice size. Ravioli fantastic. Meatball app was great. Pizza was so good. Pleasant atmosphere. Pleasantly surprised since it was in a strip mall but worth going to.

Authentic Italian!! Highly Recommend!

The food was absolutely delicious! It was the best Chicken Piccata I’ve had in a long while, and it’s one of my favorite dishes. My husband had Chicken Parmesan which was cooked to perfection. I was also impressed by the dipping oil served with the bread it was absolutely amazing. We were visiting from out of town, but will DEFINITELY be back! Delizioso!!

Delicious dinner!

We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Little Italy while in town. This is a local, small business gem. The Greek salad was very fresh, packed with toppings and large enough for 2-3 people to share. We enjoyed the meatball calzone served with a side of red sauce and the Brooklyn pizza. Their pizza crust is very fresh and cooked to perfection. The toppings were tasty and plentiful. The small pizza is big enough for 2 people to share. The wait staff were very friendly and attentive, despite the place being pretty full and having a large party to serve. We will definitely come back for some of their Italian dishes and amazing bar selections!

Little Italy is one of those places if you don’t look carefully you might miss it … it’s located in a strip mall but don’t let that fool you this is not your typical strip mall restaurant… the food was delicious…. Bread is fresh baked, side salads were good, entrees were amazing.., I had the chicken fettuccine and my daughter had a vodka pasta dish… I can’t decide what was better!!!! Service was excellent and unlike a lot of Myrtle Beach Restaurants there was a wait… I highly recommend Little Italy

So many sad changes

Little Italy was a great small restaurant owned and operated by an Italian couple. It was recently sold, and the changes are not good! While I appreciate the efforts most restaurants are making during this strange time, it is very obvious when a restaurant is making minimal effort to please a customer. Three times the server/manager had to be asked for lemons. The bread is from a nearby supermarket (pre-sliced). The salad dressing is in a little plastic cup. The salad is rather worn and weary from sitting limply in a cooler all day. I ordered a salad and appetizer, but the manager/server changed it to an entree, without asking me, and then dismissed my question about it (the entree isn't even on the menu), with the comment, "Miscommunication". Of course, there was a $15 price difference. And the overall quality of food is simply awful. Little Italy was a small gem, with every detail attended to by the owner/chef. Fresh bread baked for lunch, and a different bread for dinner. The freshest and best fish and seafood in an area full of good seafood. And now it has sunk to a boring, tasteless, tired selection of ersatz Italian dishes with a manager/server thriving on scamming the customer. So Sad!

Ordered Just a Salad

I was looking for an inexpensive salad to compliment our family meal at our resort, so I searched through the Internet and found Little Italy's large garden salad for $6.50. I had actually done some research and wanted to take my family here during our stay, but they don't open until 3pm. So, though I wanted to try some other things, I just went with the salad. I don't carry much cash on vacation, so I asked server if they had a minimum for credit card purchases (which they did). He waived that for me, so I went ahead and placed the order. It's just a salad. I know. And I should really try some other dishes before I write a review, but we're not in Myrtle anymore. The vegetables were fresh and bright. The house dressing was robust (though my wife didn't care for it much). So in the end, it was a really good salad.

Hidden gem -- worth a visit

We were looking for a good Italian restaurant and after reviewing TA reviews decided this was the place. We were not disappointed. It is in a nondescript strip shopping area, but the food was excellent. My wife had the lobster ravioli and said it was the best she has ever had -- replacing a restaurant in Hilton Head. I had the chicken carbonara and it was very good. The salads were quite good and only a $1 more. The bread was excellent and comes with butter and a wonderful dipping oil with garlic. We will definitely return next year! Our server, Sasha was very attentive.

They don't care about their customers

My boyfriend and I placed an order while we were in town on vacation. We had a full day of activity and were starving and excited to eat while we stayed in on our last night and watched the ocean. We called at 8:15 to place our order. They are located 6 minutes away from our condo and first told us they couldn't deliver to us... they then changed their minds saying they could and we placed our order for spaghetti and meatballs, a calzone, a cesar salad, and tiramisu. We didn't hear anything, I didn't get a receipt after paying over the phone, we got worried when it was 9:10 and we hadn't heard anything because they closed at 9pm. Food finally showed up at 9:20. Missing my spaghetti completely, my boyfriends calzone was burnt to a crisp, and the salad was soggy and wilty. I requested a refund for the food that ended up completely in the garbage and I haven't heard back. POINT IS... don't waste your time with this place especially if you are visiting from out of town. If I wanted to pay for food that wasn't in my order AND be disappointed with the food that does come, I'd rather go to McDonald's. By the way, I know y'all got my email and I still want my money back ;)

I'm not a terrible cook so I usually just cook for special events myself. oOn this occasion I wanted to serve my daughter's favorite dish and knew I wouldn't have time to make it. We ordered chicken parm along with a chicken alfredo dish. It was absolutely amazing it had all the add-ons all the you know things that you would want ready to serve it was amazing. The staff was so incredibly helpful the food was delicious. They also advised me what to order so I wouldn't be ordering too much of anything and thankfully we still had leftovers. I loved Little Italy and will use them again and again and again

Horrible experience

If I could rate this business with a negative star I would. My mom just called to place a to-go order and the owner picked up the phone. She simply asked a question about one of the menu items and he was extremely rude and asked if she couldn't read the menu that was posted online. She then brought it to his attention that the menu didn't answer her question which is why she was asking. He was still extremely rude and hung up in her face. I called the establishment back to tell him I didn't appreciate how he was speaking to her. He then hung up on me. If you're ever visiting Myrtle Beach, I would advise you NOT to go there. VERY BAD customer service and EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!

This restaurant was recommended to us by some locals. The food was delicious and the portions were very hearty. Located on Business 17, Little Italy is located in a small strip mall. It is easy to get to with parking on site. I recommend getting a reservation every time you eat here. The pizza and entree's are large and taste great. An excellent find for Italian dining in Myrtle Beach.

Our family of 14 stayed at the Caribbean Resort for a week. It was a challenge to find a good restaurant that could handle our large group. Little Italy was by far the best restaurant we found during our stay. Everyone enjoyed their meal and Dawn, our server, was fantastic! We also ordered pizzas and salads from this restaurant for takeout one evening. So good!!!

Best Calzone We Ever Had!

Good service and great food! Don't let the prices scare you. My wife and I split our entree, salad, and dessert.....and it was plenty. We added peperoni and mushrooms to the cheeses in our calzone and combined with the marinara sauce was superb. For dessert, try the caramel cheesecake. Very cheesy! Not like most places.
