Let me tell you the food is something to talk about! Everything we had was delicious! Homemade as if Grandma cooked it for Sunday dinner! We will definitely be back!

Big Mike's has great food at an affordable price! I had the ribs, Mac n cheese, onion rings, peach cobbler and hushpuppies. Everything was good but the hush puppies are amazing! Not like regular hush puppies though...more like deep fried donuts. So good. This is...a must try place.More

This is a shadier place in myrtle beach. The place is in a cinder block building and you place your order at the window. There is plenty of free parking and benches with umbrellas to eat. There is no inside dining. Most people place their...order and wait in their locked cars to be called when it is ready. I believe that we saw a prostitute with her pimp placing an order while we were there. She had on tight children's p.j. shorts with rudolph on them and little else. I would definitely not come here after dark and was a little bit afraid even though it was day time. The owner is very friendly when he takes your order but almost surly when you come to pick it up where I thought i was going to have to show him our receipt to get our food. The baskets come with 3 hushpuppies, lots of fries, and a condiment container of cole slaw that has a tablespoon or so. You have to ask for condiments and the woman is almost afraid to give you any because the owner may become angry.More

We tried almost everything on the menu and it is hands down the best food in this area. The price is affordable and the people are nice. If you are in the area and don't try this spot then you are missing out. We even...ordered online!!!!!!More

We were pleasantly surprised by flavorful chopped steak w/onion and gravy, chicken livers, candied yams, field peas, lima beans and corn muffin. Disappointed with turnip greens; they were "overly salted". Couldn't eat the greens. Not fit for people with high blood pressure.

Haven't had fried chicken this good since my great Aunt Katie died! The candied yams were better than my moms!! My son really like the rice and gravy side, and I found the mac and cheese to have a lot of flavor. Will definitely try...more of their menu - Big Mike's is good food well done by good friendly people. Give them a try!More

Due to the covid-19 the restaurant was taking online orders and you can walk up to the window and place an order as well. The food was awesome. It really out in mind of your grandmother house on a Sunday after church. The peach cobbler...mmm good.More

I read lots of reviews on this place and knew I had to try it. To be honest, it was just okay. We tried the croissant beignets and they were good, but had uncooked dough in the middle. We took them home to try to...cook them a little longer when we heat them back up. Our meal was shrimp and grits. The dish itself was disappointing. The grits were thick and clumpy. When I think of shrimp and grits I think of smooth and creamy grits with shrimp. However, the shrimp were seasoned perfectly and the grits tasted great, just too thick and dry for the meal for my personal preference. I would eat there again. The meals coming out of that kitchen smelled amazing.More

The ordering process was simple and they have put picnic tables out in the parking lot to encourage a safe atmosphere. As for the food, it was delicious! Smothered pork chops, fried chicken, fried fish! And the sides... greens, field peas and mac and cheese....You can't miss.More

Food is excellent. Ahrea is one of the waitresses with a pleasant personality, friendly, and always willing to make your experience one to remember. I hightly recommend checking this place out. They are mindful of social distancing. My personal favorite is the fried pork chops...smothered in brown gravy. You can ask for one or two chops.More

No I only had dinner there, but did read a previous post that they placed a takeout order for a large party and were very happy as well as their guests. Food was great, I would cater it if I lived closer!

A chicken bog is a rice, chicken and sausage dish local to South Carolina. The prices are great along with the food, however, it is not buffet.
