Dinoland Cafe missed the mark on every front. The bland warehouse atmosphere, which could be so much more, is not enhanced by the sprinkling displays of random animatronics; which we had to wait 28 minutes before they began to move. The out of place Michael...Jackson sound track did not help create a jurassic experience. All of this could have been over looked if the food was palatable. The portion of food did not make up for the basic flavorless meals. The salad was lettuce from a bag, shredded cheese from a bag, and pre purchased salad dressing; although I was assured by our waitress that it was made fresh in house. It is hard to mess up french fries but they somehow managed to pull the flavor out of them as well. Elementary school paste is more tasty than their chicken alfredo. Save your money and go to McDonald instead.More

The food was really good and the portions were large. The prices were in line with other restaurants we visited in Myrtle Beach. We found a coupon for a free dessert Dino egg. It isn’t Rain Forest Cafe or T-Rex, but it could easily be...with a little effort. We were seated within 5 minutes of our reservation. Our server was very attentive. My grandsons liked the animatronics. They moved and roared every ten minutes. The dinosaur walked around once during our visit. He was loud and that frightened the 3 year old.More

The food was excellent! Faith was an awesome server. The only thing that could have made this experience any better would be if our grandson had been with us. Hopefully we can bring him with us the next time.

Brought my dinosaur loving boys! They loved seeing all the moving dinosaurs. The food was so good and flavorful and the staff was so nice and attentive! Will come back!

I chose to dine here based on my trips to Disney and the Dino cafe (not sure if it is still there). However, I was disappointed with the decor, thought they could do more make it more authentic to the feel of being in the...cave man ages. For my 4 year old it was worth every minute we were there, based on that I can say I'm somewhat pleased. Unfortunately, they are short staffed and I feel sorry for those who work there because they do show how hard they are working. The food I thought was ok, the husband and teenage son loved it. Not sure if it was because I got the burger and they got steak and fish but seeing the photo of the Tyrannoburger I had to have it. Is this a must do while in Myrtle Beach? I would say no but if your kid is like mine and is an aspiring Paleontologist I suggest you give it a try just keep your expectations to a minimum.More

Very interesting place. We got there around 5:15 on a Friday and got seated right away. When we left later on there was quite a line to get in. We had been there for about 20 minutes and none of the animals moved. We asked...the hostess and she said "oh you have to ask your server to hit the button". ?? We thought they were on a timer or something. Anyway...after that they came on about every 5 minutes or so. Never saw the dinosaur walking around as some have mentioned in other reviews. Our dino loving kids really enjoyed this place. Walking around the restaurant is encouraged as there is so much to see. Lots of picture taking. There is a small menu and a full bar. ( the adults will need that!) The food is expensive though. We ordered two cheeseburgers (Huge!!), three salads, (big, good and fresh), some fried calamari (tough), order of wings, (so-so) and couple of kids meals. Couple of beers too. So while the servings are very big, so is the bill. This was our most expensive meal of our whole weeks vacation. If your kids love dinosaurs and pterodactyls and things like that, bring them here!More

Do your research first! We had no idea what to expect and we were pleasantly surprised. Pros: Food was phenomenal Atmosphere is great and animatronics were spot on Plenty of space for tables and actual dinosaur that came out and walked around Wait staff kicked...butt - they’re short staffed right now like everyone else but they all pulled their weight Cons: Food is pricey especially the kids meals. Might be in your best interest if you have littles to split a meal. Still looks like they’re working out the bugs - there’s some displays in the back that aren’t operational or put up yet You will wait a while. Be prepared. Look at the menu before you come so you’re not sticker shocked. I hope this place makes it. I would recommend lowering the prices of the kids meals at least.More

Great idea. Poor execution. The kids thought it was great. And maybe that’s all that matters. But it’s an expensive meal for sub par food and the overall experience is mediocre. The person in the dinosaur suit walking around. Not bad. The animatronics- weak. The...food- decent to bad and overpriced. The environment- Barron and cheap The spacing between tables is probably due to letting the dino walk around without walking into things. But the whole space feels like a warehouse with tables in it. The back corner even had a bunch of dinos and props still not setup. It takes away from the whole experience because it feels like you’re in a place with fake dinosaurs instead of a Jurassic park restaurant. I ordered the ribs and they were not hot. Lots of fat and the mashed potato’s tasted like they were instant potato’s. The kids food which is all fried chicken fish or fries was actually ok. Ice cream was decent too. You’ll go because the kids want to. But you’ll be rolling your eyes the entire time.More
